This is the best halo

I have never liked cod and i played battlefield 3 until this game came out. I don’t have the mistaken beliefs about halo 3. This game takes the same amount of skill as every other halo game.
I play cod with my mates and its a pretty dumb game. Come on peeps, ordnance is hardly a tactical nuke.
For me it’s a perfect mix of cod and bf with sci fi. Halo 4 = great multiplayer
Hats off to 343 and Microsoft

There’s a lot of rose tinted glasses on here - but you get it with every new Halo game. The current game always sucks, and its predecessor was always the bestest, most skill based game ever.

> Come on peeps, ordnance is hardly a tactical nuke.

For the same ammount of kills on player gets incineration canon… other may get a needler? both are great, the needler is beastly. But really. Different can never be equal… un-equal = Un-fair = un- balenced = does not belong in halo.

The most fair way to go about it would be to have 3 set ordinances that just dont change. 1st set of three ordinance, every body has the same first three options. 2nd set and 3d set and so on

To make “random” even resemble something fair… their are three options every time you get ordinance. Maybe if 1 option was always a power up, 1 option was always a power weap (Fuel Rod, IncinCanon, rockets, sniper type) and the other needler, nades or whatever ever else… that would be nice. Even though that would be “more ballenced” it would still be partly random.

But from the looks of it… currently it feels like the losing team gets fewer ordinance but BETTER ordinance. Hella not cool.

you are the problem perfect mix? -Yoink- and leave our halo alone, we want Halo not COD (or in your crazy mind BF3), we want an arena shooter if you don’t like Halo 2-3 you don’t like halo go back and play BF3

Just ignore all the crying, or laugh at it, as I have been. I agree that its a great game.

…and thats why Halo is doomed.

RIP Master Chief

BF3 is one of the best MP games that requires actual skill and thought process to dominate it ,truly a special game on the 360.

Anyway, no this is the WORST MP out of all the franchise. I assume you never played Halo 2, 3, or Reach but this is far worse.

Heck, you never even played the BF series. How is your opinion even valid?

Iv played 1000 hours of bfbc2 and bf3 on Xbox. Unfortunately, bf3 is buggy laggy and glitched. Cod is too try hard with stupid spawns and kill streaks are frustrating.

Iv chosen halo 4 as my mp of choice because bf3 is a pc port and the servers continuously kick you. Sometimes it’s really bad. You look at battle report and two thirds of players DNF and it annoys people loads. Big maps need a minimum of 32 players and the small maps are basically cod. For me personally, as in my original post, halo 4 is a good balance of a few things.

Therefore, h4 is my choice and the detractors need to get real I’m afraid

This is exactly what 343 and Microsoft wanted. They wanted this game to satisfy the casual gamer. Nothing wrong with that but they left me and many other competitive players out of the picture. Sorry buddy but this game does not take remotely as much Skill as the prior Halo’s did.

No. Halo 3 was the best Halo. Halo: Reach was pretty terrible but at least it gave the competitive players a few playlists to play and some sort of ranking system. I am a classic Halo fan and I don’t like Armor abilities because they just reduce the skill gap. I can’t wait for my Slayer Pro Playlist to come back. No more AAs, no more stickies, no more Boltshots, and hopefully no more crazy Ordinance spawns.

I can’t speak as to the Random Ordnance drops placed on the map, but I’ve looked at the Custom Game options for Personal Ordnance.

For each of the three slots (Left, Middle, Right), you can set up to eight possible weapons (or grenades, or power-ups). Each of these can be assigned a “weight” (from 1 to 10) that helps to determine the probability that it’ll be available in that slot, for any given trio of choices that a player earns.

Now, it is technically possible that 343i applies some sort of extra weighting behind-the-scenes to skew drops in favor of a losing team, but I highly doubt that they actually do it. There’d be no point in giving us our own weighting options if those options were subordinate to some bizarre unseen machinations.

That, and the effectiveness of a particular drop would vary depending on what map you’re on, where on the map you’re at, and what the circumstances are (number of enemy vehicles, number of friendly vehicles, et cetera). Yes, you can make general statements like “the Incineration Cannon is better than the Needler”, but even that can depend on circumstances (since the former is so suicide-prone, and both are worthless at long ranges). It’s very difficult to reliably make comparisons like that in a manner that holds up in all or nearly all scenarios, and they probably don’t have a “scenario detection system” (because lag would break it utterly), so they probably also do not apply behind-the-scenes weighting to personal ordnance drops.

TL;DR: They probably do not give better Personal Ordnance drops to the losing team – at least, not more than would occur by weighted random chance.

i believe that thing that makes this halo seem easier is the variety of rifles and the fact that everyone can start with. if you were to make some modifications to the ordinace or cut it out completely, than it would seperate the pros from the casuals, besides the fact that everyone starts with these weapons means that you have to be more alert than ever before

No, starting weapons don’t make the game easier…especially with the DMR.

The best way 343 could have created Ordnance: Make tiers. Tier 1 you’d get a speed boost/overshield, grenades and a weakish power weapon/needler.

Tier 2 you’d get shotguns or snipers or concussion/railgun, and any boost, and 1 random.

Tier 3 you’d get 1 rocket, 1 sniper, and 1 damage boost.

i agree that this is the best halo to date reach was garbage the only thing i liked was the campaign 3 was my favorite till 4 came out and i am glad for the changes some armor abilites are stupid sure but i like ordinance drops though i rarely choose weapons the bolt shot is a pain in the -Yoink- but nothing a little skill cant handle the changes that have been made are for the best i am most grateful for the loadouts so instead of having to go look for the weapon i like i can spawn with it and im good to go but these are just the opinions of someone thats plays and owns all of the series i have been playing since ce came out and will continue till they stop making them

This is your brain on drugs. 343 accomplished what they set out for. Water the game down with a bunch of -Yoink- and cater to those who jump from game to game. At the same time Yoinking! on loyal fans like me. This game does not take nearly as much skill as any other Halo game. If you actually had been around then you would know that.

In the past map control was more crucial to the game as well as weapon control. Now its all about camping till you get an ordinance. Boltshot anyone who gets too close. Hardly any skill involved in that. Too bad I don’t have a time machine to school you on these things. The previous titles were so much better. MLG Reach v7 is even better and sticks to CORE Halo. This game has a chance with the TU but it is looking slim.

The proof is here.

Apparently there are a lot of h4 games just laying around.

> mix of cod

'nuff said

No, you cannot has reconz.

I lol’d

I don’t know anything about BF3 or CoD, but I can tell that this Halo is, IMO, the best ever. New features like custom loadouts make the game fantastic.
Of course, there might be some small adjustments to be done. just give it some time.
