This is such a shame…

How in the world is the game so unfinished that it will take almost a year post-launch for co-op and level replay to become available. That absolutely baffles me.
Basic foundational features are put on the back burner so that a free-to-play multiplayer can sell armor pieces and cat ears.
This is beyond disappointing. It’s outright asinine. It’s as if the executives for 343 or Microsoft watched companies like EA try this kind of garbage, watched it blow up in their face, and then decided it was a good idea to butcher Xbox’s flagship franchise with the same practices.
I know I’m preaching to the choir here and I am not saying Infinite is a bad game. I’m saying that it can’t be accurately evaluated because it’s a semi-polished beta. Infinite has so so much potential. Good ideas squandered by underdevelopment and greed.
How many more times does this have to happen before devs finally stop wrecking great IP’s and, instead, exclusively publish finished products?
Clearly, based on the info available, Infinite won’t even be where it should’ve been at launch until MAYBE Season 4 which would be mid-2023. If they had never released and just kept working, the game might’ve been finished and ready to drop around November of this year.
Imagine the reception if the game had dropped with all promised features and a promising, not to mention exciting, roadmap for the year. Full of nothing but new and expansive content building on the already beautifully made world they created.
Instead we were offered an empty unfinished product at full price rife with major bugs, a shockingly limited UI and Customization system, wildly overpriced shop items, and very few options for Multiplayer gameplay across the campaign and arena modes.
Take note that the roadmap didn’t even suggest the inclusion of a Firefight or similar mode which means it’ll be quite a bit longer before that’s even on the horizon if at all.
I can’t even log into the game anymore because every time I do it just frustrates me to see how little is actually there. Half a decade of development yielded less content than many of the indie games on Gamepass.
I wish I understood how this happened and why. Obviously nothing can change it now. I just wish they’d get honest with the community and explain the real reasons they decided to release the way they did and why after so much time in development, this is all we got.

Every game has been panned in some way or another.

The fan base has not been allowing it, it just doesn’t make a difference.

You know Halo Infinite is bad when people start discussing politics and taxes on the forum tbh.
