A couple of questions about this achievement.

Can I use AA’s and Frags? (Are there BRs, Shotguns, etc I can use?)

I swtiched between LR and Supressor. I kept an AR in secondary using it sparringly. Just an insight.
Ah, so I can use other weapons?
You just need to carry 1 UNSC weapon throughout the mission.
Watch some speedruns of that specific mission on youtube, you’ll hardly need to shoot anyways.
Also, if you’re in co-op, watch out. If you die and your teammate’s too far ahead, you’ll spawn with non-UNSC weapons and can’t go back to pick one up off of your corpse.
There are no UNSC weapons in the level, so you have to keep either the AR or Magnum with you. And it doesn’t matter if you run out of ammo as long as you still have the weapon. If you know what you’re doing, it really isn’t that bad.

I used my AR sparingly, ran out of Magnum ammo, then swapped my empty Magnum for whatever weapon I could find!
It wasn’t too difficult, you just have to be creative with whatever weapon you’re holding!
I did this on Legendary Solo because I’m a sadist apparently, it’s just a matter of keeping whatever weapon you choose as your primary chock full of ammo (kept the Magnum as a backup for emergencies) which isn’t that hard since there’s ammo dumps everywhere, you just have to seek them out sometimes. Also, Promethean weapons work really, really well against them. Knights go down FAST to Suppressors, even on Legendary.
I also earned this on my solo legendary run.
Do it solo, not co-op. If you die in co-op, you won’t spawn with UNSC weapons.
