This is my armorlock for halo 4.

Id liked to use armorlock but everyone complains that’s it OP.
So this my idea for balanced version if halo 4 had armorlock.

-The player still gets in the armorlock pose.
-There is a small bubbelshield surounding the user and protects from damage.
-the shield is like the one from halo 3 it only protects the user from weapons and explosives.
-no protection from splatters or melee’s.
-no EMP burst.
-the shield last longer than armorlock around 1.5x
-the schield power meter will reduce quicker when taking damage especially from plasma weaponry.
-rockets, plasma nades and fuel rods will not bounce back.

That covers it, hope this sounds balanced.

This isn’t the worst idea, except have it be destroyable, people can walk into the bubble and kill the person, and make it last 75% as long as Halo Reach AL.

Sounds ok. But we already have HLS to cover as a defensive AA.

Sounds right, but the lack of immunity to melee damage makes me think that this would be usaeless. There is really no way to actually balance AL.

Hardlight Shield is a lot less OP as well. One 'nade to the feet or bank off a wall is all it takes especially w/ the lack of movement similar to an unmounted turret.

HLS doesn’t protect you from melee. I don’t think you should get out of jail free card with punches.

I know, it was only a suggestion if armorlock returned .

noobs luck’s confirmed out of Halo 4 and replaced by the balanced HLS

I reckon Armour lock should be a Modification and all it should do is pretty much give you no fall damage.

Your described AL is noting more than a Bubble shield. The only traits you kept from AL that was never originally in Bubble Shield is the pose and not being able to move.
