Ah yes… The pc is wired but the Xbox One is wireless.

It took around 6 hours to download Assassin’s Creed Black Flag which was around 22 GB. I guess the same will apply with the MCC. I don’t mind it then honestly. As long as I can play campaign and that the download goes on. :]

I always get 0 packet loss with wireless, so there is no need for improvement there. Wired helps with consistency, but I’m confident enough with wireless for now.

I’m srry, but I’m not understanding. What’s the difference when both installing and downloading take up GB space?

Wait, we don’t pop in the disc and play the game, we have to install it first then play? I haven’t gotten the One yet, so I’m confused.

2 hours. not that bad.

yeah I need to port forward my xbox one before next week. Somehow my Nat was open and now strict. Super annoying.

So much for playing at Midnight on launch day :frowning: I’m not buying this one digitally so I can’t pre-load the update.

I think so, but that won’t take long I assume. It directly installs from the disc then. I believe it will even go faster if you’re offline.

After installing you need to download the 20GB patch. Or if you already pre-downloaded that you’re ready for online!

You don’t need an internet connection to install a disc. There’s no connection buffers between you and the disc. When downloading a game digitally, it may arguably take more time to install since your connection has to go to the Xbox Live servers, retrieve the information for downloading the game, and then come back.

Correct. I got my copy of Advanced Warfare yesterday. Before I could play it had to install. Around 25% in it says "ready to play’ and you can essentially start playing. I like to wait though until it is all done. That way it does not slow the install process down.

Also going offline and installing a disc is MUCH faster than being online trying to install it. That trick really does work.

According to this 50 Min or less.

Great! That’s pretty good for 20GB

Really? You don’t need internet connection to install a game? Forgive me, I’m still trying to remember that the One is no longer “always online”. Also, how long would it take with around 18.5 mbps?

If you have a disc copy of the game then yeah it’s a quick 20-30 min install. Also yes the few times xbox live went down I was able to play say Call of Duty Ghosts in offline mode which was great. Could still do full battle bot matches and stuff.

Advanced warfare has the same feature as well. I always appeciate it when a game can still be played to it’s fullest without internet required.

As far as the 20GB download patch for MC Collection you’ll have to go back online for that, hard to say how long it will take to download. BUT if you go offline first and instal your disc that way you shave off a TON of wasted install time.

Ya I will be playin AC: Rogue to pass the time

Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Assassin’s Creed: Rogue will also include an install disk, so you’ll have to deal with that first.

Go me I guess :stuck_out_tongue:

I guess I am the only one who is getting 21 hours.

Looks like mine will be 10mins at the least.

Checked my DL speed on my Xbox One using wifi connection while my laptop wifi was also on, had me down at around 25mbps. Turned off my laptop wifi, connected ethernet to the Xbox the DL speed made a jump to over 50mbps.

I knew my laptop while connected to the internet would interfere with my download speed on my Xbox One but I didn’t think it would have made that big of a difference. Thanks for the heads up!
