MYTHIC WARZONE FIREFIGHT
This is most definitely the quickest way to gain XP. Hands down. This is also great because firefight is far more relaxing than sweating your butt off in arena or regular WZ. I played with a To8 (all people that I met solo queing mythic, just invite the top players from the previous game and they will join you… trust me. EVERYONE needs help in this playlist!!!) and we were crushing the games. If I had to guess I would say our average game length of Mythic WZ FF was around 12 or 13 minute victories and I was gaining an average of 25K XP per game.
but I had boosts… a lot of boosts. and here is how…SAVE ALL OF YOUR REQ POINTS UNTIL THEY PUT THE LEGENDARY BOOSTS BACK IN THE STORE… then only purchase the Warzone packs. they cost 150K req points for 20 boosts.
Now, they put Mythic WZ FF in rotation on the weekend starting on around noon on Friday and taking it back out around noon on that following Monday. If you buckle down and dedicate your weekends to just playing H5 (specifically Mythic Warzone Firefight) with a To8 combined with boosts you will see BIG results in your XP ladder even after just one weekend!
*** I gained almost 3M XP in a single weekend *** from noon on friday to noon on monday.
This is not to say that you should only play on the weekends though. I was still gaining around 300K+ XP during the week playing BTB with regular average boosts
With the delay of Infinite, all of you guys now have a chance to reach SR152.
FIREFIGHT TIP: Everyone needs to be in a vehicle in the final round. All 8 of you.
HOW TO NOT LOSE YOUR MIND FROM SO MANY CONSECUTIVE HOURS OF GAMING TIP: Start watching a new TV series.
Tbh I did not even wear my headset when I was playing firefight so zero game audio. I have a big screen tv right behind my gaming monitor so I would just put on my show and find a balance of paying attention to the show and also contributing to the Win.
**WARNING - DO NOT SIT IDLE IN FF GAMES. only moving your joystick every so often as to not get a “wake up john” kick. They will catch you and they will ban you for a significant amount of time. My ban was 18 days…learned my lesson…
Good luck everybody!
Some nice tips, and good encouragement about the deathly grind, thanks. Apparently, in the first week of September, they’re making Mythic WZFF a 24/7 playlist, and dropping legendary WZFF. Also, they’re going to up the Heroic WZFF XP to Legendary levels, so that should help with the grind a lot, too.
Also, I like listening to podcasts and/or audiobooks while grinding out firefight, it helps keep me sane.
Thanks for the advice, but how about midweek? I play warzone during the week but i dont know if this is the best way, I’m level 150 and 2/3 but I’m getting tired of leveling up.

They’re going to introduce Mythic as a full time playlist on the 3rd of September.
Mythic is by the far easiest way to get 152, virtually everything else takes way way longer

I did not know that they were adding Mythic FF as a set playlist so if that is the case then I would only play Mythic FF. nothing else until you reach 152. So once they put it in there permanently you should try to WIN (with BOOSTS!!) 10 to 15 Mythic FF games per day during the week and you’ll see MAJOR results very soon.
**REMEMBER: Getting tired of leveling up is exactly how every other Halo 5 player feels who is in the middle of this extensive grind to 152. PUSH THROUGH! Reaching the Max Experience Rank in any game is supposed to be reserved for the most dedicated of players. Players who powered through these moments of adversity.
You got this! I’m telling you the Netflix or Podcast thing is a lifesaver because there will be days where you might need to grind for like 12 hours straight depending on your weekly schedule and when you can or can’t play Halo.
Side Note: You could very easily get 1M XP in a 12-hour gaming session if you play your cards right.

I agree with virtually everything here.
Only thing I’d say is with Infinite being delayed I don’t really think people need to rush 152 anymore.
During lockdown I spent the whole time playing Firefight for 152 because it was releasing this year.
With infinite delayed to potentially another 6/8 months to a whole year there’s plenty of time to play. 12 hour sessions will definitely get you to the rank quicker but I think just take it day by day. It’s easy to burn out playing for that long.
I did 148 to 152 in about 2 and a bit months. Playing almost non stop.
So I thought I’d share my experience, although most of you probably won’t care. In my semi-limited experience, and suggestions that I’ve gotten on my journey to 152, I played a few rounds of mythic FF. Bear in mind I didn’t use any boosts to see what the difference in xp was compared to the difficulty, and I found that the base xp between mythic and roic was only marginal, compared to the difficulty difference. As someone who’s not that great at PVP or online MP in general. That said, I found it more advantageous to stick to roic FF and whatever the featured playlist is that particular weekend.
Now with the news of permanent legendary xp on roic FF and the permanence of mythic FF coming upcoming week, I’ll be reexamining the xp vs. difficulty situation and seeing what works out best for me and go from there. I love all these ideas here and in theory they’re great, I just didn’t see them working out for me, which, between that and my crappy schedule, means it’ll take me longer to get to the promised land. But I’ll keep plugging away and my eyes on the prize!!

Love the enthusiasm. and I appreciate the different perspective here. Every player must find the method that works best for them and exploit it.
My advice to you would be to at least try playing Mythic FF one day (WITH BOOSTS) with a Team of 8 and see how much XP you can gain. STRENGTH IN NUMBERS. Find other players on your Friends list or Spartan Company who are also interested in reaching SR152. and again if that fails just inv the top randoms from the previous game. The difficulty experience goes way down when you add in a little teamwork.
If you still find Mythic FF to be too difficult or just not fun because of how stressful it can be then Yes play the other FF options. (WITH BOOSTS!!!)
__FOR PLAYERS IN THIS SITUATION YOU MUST STOCK UP YOUR REQ POINTS TO BUY LEGENDARY WARZONE BOOSTS__If you run out of Req Points then you may have to spend actual money on buying the Boost packs. They are $5 each for 20 boosts.
I’m sorry to say but if you have a weekly schedule that is not cooperative with playing a few hours of Halo each day than your road to 152 will be very bumpy. you might have to look into those extra long gaming sessions I mentioned above.

I definitely already enjoy long gaming sessions on my days off (which happen to be Tuesday-Thursday) and the xp I’ve gained so far I don’t feel is anything to snicker at, but not where it should be. I was doing the math last night and it would take roughly a year to get to 152 averaging about 140k a day, which is pretty doable on my days off, in fact there have been numerous days where I’ve gotten a lot more than that. I don’t have many friends yet (as I’ve just picked the game back up) and most of my company goes to arena matches (which is fine, we all have our own strengths). I have started using my boosts, especially with Turbo up this weekend, that’s helped a ton and we’ll see what happens this week with the changes to the playlists and go from there. Definitely am shooting for 152 before Infinite comes out, and it’d be nice to get there before it does, however, I’m not going to stress over it… because then it doesn’t become fun…

You are right! Do what you can to sustain your experience with H5. You picked the game back up because Halo is in your blood like it is mine… and everyone else on Waypoint.
Maybe try setting yourself a Weekly XP goal instead of a Daily XP goal. That way you can then fluctuate the lengths of your gaming sessions according to your weekly schedule. but make sure you hit that goal whatever it is.
but IMO…If you are a player who has decided to grind for SR152 you should still try to do it as fast as possible even though the Infinite release was pushed back.

For sure… I tried a goal of hitting a certain rank everyday, or by the end of my “weekend”… worked out well for a while. But then, as I’m sure you know, once you start getting high enough, hitting a certain rank in a given time gets more and more difficult. I’ve also tried not really paying attention to the xp and rank progression as I play, just trying to enjoy the play, taking breaks… that kind of stuff, I’ve gotten to 83 so far (since July 28). I know it’s nothing exciting, and I know I have a long and arduous road ahead, but I feel like I’ve made some significant progress since I started.
It should also be noted that in no way am I at all a good player. My KDA is awful, and when it comes to arena matches, I’m consistently in the bottom, which is why I stick to FF, but when H2BR slayer came up, I used some boosts and made it worth my while to hang out in there for a minute…
Prewojo with only being SR83 you will definitely need to dedicate the majority of your free time into playing H5. and that’s all it is…Dedication.
“Practice Makes Perfect”
You will definitely find that the more you play the better you get. You are going to have to play thousands of games to reach 152. You will become better and more aware as time goes on. You will get used to the A.I spawns and eventually know exactly how to beat each FF map quickly.
**HINT - YOU CAN SPLATTER SOME BOSSES RIGHT WHEN THEY SPAWN. ENDING THE ROUND IN JUST SECONDS. (just prepare ahead of time)
IMO…If you are a player who has decided to grind for SR152 you should still try to do it as fast as possible even though the Infinite release was pushed back.

Thanks for the info didnt know about The permanent playlist
o Hyp3rr o Halo 5 is definitely my go to game right now… in fact, my wife has made mention several times that I’m “obsessed”… it is almost all I play now (when I can). But I’m also at a double disadvantage, because, thanks to COVID, I only work four days a week, but they’re Friday-Monday leaving my days off Tuesday-Thursday. I’m also big into Forza Horizon 4, and the new seasonal challenges and races. So I try to mix it up a little to try and help keep my sanity… but I know it also slows me down a little… so… it’ll be what it’ll be, I’m certainly going to do what I can… and make the most of the time I have…
