So I see a minority pushing for a more “halo” like experience because those people believe that’s how halo is suppose to play. Instead of comparing this game to halo 2/3 we need to stay on this track of innovation halo 4 has been following. Halo 3 was a simple game that was overall horrid especially with its unbalanced ranking system and its slow matchmaking pairing. Halo 2/3 sucks get out you fanboys, these forums are for true halo fans, not old adults who can’t escape the past, grow up.

Have you seen Halo 4’s population? Just becuase you call a group a minority doesn’t make it true.

Who am I kidding this game sucks total -Yoink-.
I think we need both and more. We don’t directly compare Flood to Dominion so why do we have to have blanket changes between Infinity or classic?
I’m happy 343i are continually working on the playlists and settings for each as well as providing voting variances within that. This is the perfect way forward.
In future titles if they can use the Halo 3 ranked/social system then organise the various playlists to accommodate areas for innovations and other areas for classic good ol’ gameplay then we’re all good.
What is wrong with having a few different flavours of the same Halo pizza? I don’t always want to play Infinity just like I don’t always want to play Classic. They can evolve many segments of the game through voting options and keep the core classics too.
Streamline, diversify and innovate without splintering, duplicating or alienating staples of Halo seems like a good mantra for iterative design.

They need to return to the roots and not neglect the classic. Infinity slayer would have been an awesome slayer VARRIENT and dominion works because its its own kind of gametype.

Yep because Halo 4’s ranking system is so balanced. I prefer slow matchmaking pairing then joining a game more then half way through. pfff 12 year olds.
