Greetings my fellow forum brothers and sisters.

You’ll want to read this if you want to contribute to Halo 4 becoming a huge success.

About 2-3 years ago a real close friend of mine, (deceased now) once asked me (a 2001 and still counting Halo nerd) if Halo was the game that had the best community. I replied with the obvious answer any average FANBOY would do, ‘‘Yes, it is Halo’’ But i did not reply only because of my love to Halo. I said that, because I have seen what the halo community is and together it can get things done.

The real Bungie era that ran from 2001-2007 was probaly the most, amazing years of my gaming side of life. Together we all stood as one, we all share our childhood memories of Sierra-117 and how he saved Earth and all her colonies.

Now, 5 years after Chief went MIA to the UNSC, awaiting he’s return- Halo 4 is announced.
Now with Reach being a huge dissapointment to the majority of the Halo fans, (excluding myself, I just cant get enough Halo) I understand why there is so much concern after what Reach did.

I’d like to asure you 343i is consisting of Halo fans, 12 former Bungie staff, then there is us the most IMPORTANT part of Halo known as fans.

The only way we see a solid closer to balanced Halo game is if we, the fans, try to bring some constructive critism to the table. Not just ‘‘DMR does not belong in Halo 4!!! CANON U R-TARDS’’ or ‘‘The hell? Sprint? NOOBZZZZz’’. 343i cannot in any possible way use these opinions to produce a good product at all! It would essentially big a vanilla ice cream drowning in chocolate sauce, you kill the vanilla taste, and get the feeling you need to puke from the chocolate. That is unbalance.

I realize that I made a BIG wall of text here, and the story of my friend isn’t the point of the thread, but I wanna see all you Halo fans, Haters/Lovers unite and stand as one.

TL;DR

Stop just spamming the forums with the threads 343i can’t use at all. Work together and give 343i some usefull ideas to how we all can make Halo 4 save the franchise.

Says who? All I have to do is buy the game, play it until the disc breaks, and buy it again.

I think you might be looking through all of the crap that is sitting on top of the good parts of the Halo community, it’s kind of like going picking, you find a lot of junk, but some times, you find a bit of junk that is worth some money.

I can see where some of the concerns come from, but most of the time, I feel like most of the concerns, like the concerns for these so called “perks”, are just random whining over something that isn’t in the game to begin with.

Yeah, I hate to say it, but welcome to the Halo community, most people who try to bring constructive critism to the table don’t know any other way other than to whine about it like a spoiled little kid, and some people mostly act like they own Halo, and that 343i should cater to them, and only them.

I hate to break it to you, but if 343i is smart, and I do believe they are, they wont listen to each and every little “idea” the community has, but they will try to listen to the community as a whole, as long as it fits to their plans.

I’m seeing a few spelling errors, but mostly you keep on forgetting to upper case the I. Also, next time you post that big of a post, you can type it into google Translate, it’ll be quicker, and easier, plus it does most of the work for you. :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s cool of you to take the time to write all of that. It was well-thought out. I agree that people shouldn’t be so angry and ready to flame anything announced. Working together would be great. Were it so easy…

Either way, I know Halo 4 will be amazing, and I hope the community will eventually be more unified like you said :slight_smile:

Yeah, np, but please at lest add “Brothers and sisters” to your opening, there are women here, I think Math and Snicker would like it all that much more if you add that word in.

There are a few in depth threads that are respectful and thought out about sprint and AA’s. I think they are called “A letter from the competitive community” and “Sprint: Why we don’t like it.” Those are a couple good ones, but you are right the majority of threads are in complain-mode and do not offer any realistic suggestions.

Now those 2 threads are actually bringing something, to the table that can be discussed.
And certainly I respect their opinions, not just because they aren’t whining, but because they actually take their time and explain why.

We sure could do with more discussing and less “topic posting just for lols”, hating, flaming and so on. We all care for Halo, but 343i are the ones who makes the choices, and we could at least wait until release before we ask for re-balancing and similar things. Asking for new features make sense, complaining on the ones already present does not, until we’ve tried them at least.

What makes you think that you know the disposition of “the majority of the Halo fans” when it comes to how they feel about Reach?
Dont confuse Waypoint forum members with the entire Halo population because we only make up a small fraction of all Halo fans(All people who buy/play Halo).

Believe me fabricating is not my style. I play Reach, i hear people complain about armor lock, about DMRs, about sprint, about unbalanced gameplay, about low life vehicles, about camping.

And i hear that EVERYDAY, so i know what i am saying if i hear it both in gamechat constantly, and my friends telling me they hear it. So no i am no extremist. I am trying to unite us for the better of Halo.

Reach added new aspects to Halo (Good or bad) and i think 343 is taking the bad and either getting rid of it or changing it to be good for example the DMR will no longer have bloom so it might get some sort of recoil that’s a small change but it’s a positive one the BR is also back you can tell 343 is taking community feedback and putting it in the game this is why people should wait for more info before raging because you can tell 343 is trying to please everyone(even though that’s impossible)

You seem to be underestimating the population of Reach. Dont assume that you play with/hear from “the majority” of people who play it.

You assuming that you have played with/heard from the “majority” of players IS a fabrication.

I remember day one on reach more then 100.000 players, Go, play Reach now see what is left after the fighting on the B.net forums. Because Reach used to have alot of believers, believers that eventually left because of the promised TU that never happened. THE MAJORITY left reach. I know what i am saying, i aint fabricating and i don’t wanna discuss that here seeing as that is not the purpose of the thread alright? One, Done and out.

That is a fabrication, dont assume that ALL of the people who play Reach will be online at the EXACT same time as you. This just shows that you are an extremist also because you believe that every SINGLE person is on when you are.

People get online and offline all the time, so if you see 105,837 people online when you first get on, then later it is 105,737 that doesnt mean 100 people got offline, for all you know 10,000 people got offline and 9,900 completly DIFFERENT people just got online.

You also have to think about the people that dont play all day every day, the people that have things to do other than play video games, people that have jobs and go to school.

Dont be so narrow minded
