Two Sides of the argument currently flooding the forums: The Spawn Trappers vs The Spawn Trappies
-Trappies say that Mercy Rule should come into affect because they are no longer having fun in Warzone
-Trappers are having fun so in turn argue against Spawn Trappies Mercy Rule Idea
-Trappies point a finger at the Achilles Armor as cuprite
-Trappers say, “Join a Spartan Company and team up”
-Trappies say something along the lines of either: “I don’t have time”, “I just play casually”, or “Make a playlist with party restrictions”
-Trappers and Trappies go back and forth ultimately solving nothing because there are fair points on both sides with an approximate equal showing of support
-Im sitting over here playing Breakout and Slayer wondering: I thought the object at its core was to kill one another?
What do you do to take over the enemies base: Kill them
What do you do if the enemy is shooting a boss YOU want the points for: Kill them
How do you stop the enemy from running over you and stealing all 3 bases in the middle of the match: Kill them
What do you do if you want to win: Kill them

Winning? As long as it is a multiplayer game.
There’s a difference between necessary kills and unnecessary kills.
Is it necessary to hold an objective and kill the other team repeatedly to win?
It is, but warzone is an objective game type. If you have effectively won the game but refuse to end it, it isn’t competitive or sportsmanlike. Losing to a better team can still be fun. Feeding someones stats isn’t fun, and drives people away.

^^^^^^^ Not destroying the core on purpose is bad sportsmanship.
Then don’t tell me to find a Spartan Company because I have one, we often get a 12 Spartans fireteam, but we still get our -Yoink- kick by other 12 Spartans fireteam that are better than us and sit there at our core grinding some kills but not killing any bosses, just Spartans until game reach 1000 points

It was, I wasn’t doing anything wrong there either. All though similar, this post is not the same. Nor is it complaining. Simply stating a question. Bad sportsmanship that doesn’t leave the game itself(Ex. Messages or cheating) isn’t against the rules.

Its still bad sportsmanship, and could be considered against the xbox live code of conduct.

Do we need to have that behaviour promoted?
Bad sportsmanship isn’t against the rules.
Does that mean it’s good?

Id put the Bad Sportsmanship in the same category as Passing Gas in Public. Is it illegal, no. Most people frown upon it but many people laugh.
I was spawn trapped on ARC a few days ago but it didn’t stop me enjoying the game and I got the most kills of everyone, mostly by slaughtering the enemy in our armoury with a wraith.
In Halo 2 on Coagulation (Blood Gulch) CTF my teams goal was to get both snipers both banshees and rockets. Once you had enemy teams sniper/banshee it would not respawn for them unless the current wielder dropped it. Ammo was available on the ground for the sniper rifle & rockets.
When and if this setup was complete the enemy team was basically getting spawncamped for the rest of the match (smg starts.) Then we’d cap 3 flags.
Was it poor sportsmanship? I dont know, thats for you to decide… Its how you win.
My point is you cant call people poor sports for trying to win.

I’d say bad sportmanship is disrespecting your fellow player.

That’s a tactic for winning, it’s not poor sportmanship as long as you ended the game quickly without resorting to drawing the game out in order to pad stats.

Yes you can.
If the core is open to destroy and you win, but you decided to farm instead your not winning, you had the chance and decided not to.
That is -yoink. And very poor sportsmanship.
Sure you can still have fun while loosing horribly. But when you play about 10 or more warzone matches and loose horribly through overwhelming amounts of uber powerful reqs in every one of them and have no choice to stay because you don’t want to get banned, do you think it’s fun then.
Ps. All of what i just said, happened for me.

The players decided to grind it out by killing the opposing team and getting 1 point at a time. Would you rather Spartans be worth no points? It is a stat padding strategy this is 100% allowed in game.
