This is a ten year old game people

Before I start is it normal that all the letters in my subject box are capital letters???

Anyway if you want proof that Halo CEA (CE/1/) is a great timeless game just think of it this way, Ten years and it’s still pretty fun. I admit it’s not the best game of this year, and I’m not going to devote 100% of my time to Halo CEA (or Reach). However it’s still a fun game to play. Even more so with friends.

Yet with all the reviews and such you must remember, most reviewers are looking at a ten year old game with some new -Yoink!-, yet a ten year old game still. Halo CE (2001) was one of the best and top FPS games of the decade. It’s remake (CEA) only fell a few points. Yet after ten years, compared to COD, Killzone, Half Life 2, Borderlands and other FPS games to sell big it manages to get a good score in both critic and user levels.

That means after ten years, an old game, without the fansy killstreaks, or AMAZING graphics, or such it still holds strong. In fact in some ways beats some games in ways.

Yet Halo:CEA is not meant to be new, To me it’s like an old friend, better yet just an old game. We who had played for ten years know HaloCE up and down. We know every suprise, story plot, charachter, level, glitch trick and foolery. To me playing Halo:CEA is not like playing a new game, It’s more like a symbol of time. A symbol that even though FPS games may be getting dull, that someday, one day people will make a new great game.

Halo 4, 5, 6 will never capture Halo:CE’s glory, it’s still only a sequel amongsts giants. Yet perhaps CEA is just here to remind us that great games have existed, Yet maybe as with Halo we must wait, Good things don’t come out every day, some time years and years

Halo CEA. Not the most amazing game. Yet it doesn’t need to be.

I love this game, I’m happy they remade it. I needed a touch up on the story and some more halo related achievements.
