One thing that I’m hoping will be better in Halo 4, is that I’m hoping for more gunplay. It’s everyone’s first reaction to throw a grenade or run across the map to beat someone down. People try to defend it saying the golden triangle crap, but honestly it’s the most deformed triangle ever.
People hardly ever get kills without melee and/or grenades. I’m glad you can’t pick up extra grenades, that should help a little. I’m not sure if the hardlight shield will be good against grenades.
I don’t get what FPG or FPM means, but I haven’t really experienced the problem you’re having, if you kill someone with grenades, isn’t that as good as killing someone with your gun? I don’t see why you care when other people choose other ways to kill other people.
I actually like the constant need to melee, throw a grenade, and shoot all the time, rather than almost always shooting. Its one of the things that makes this game Halo. The three elements of the triangle other than shooting are all used much more than any other game, isn’t this what makes the triangle relevant at all?
Hey! I thought Halo was a FPS, not a FPBR or FPDMR. Everyone’s first reaction is to spam the precision weapons!
I’ve always been saying with previous Halo games, the default “Slayer” gametypes should have 50/75% melee and single grenade loadouts. Players are more likely to fire then beatdown or spam grenades.
First person grenades (FPG) & first person melee (FPM).
Once the grenades are toned down a little from Reach’s mini-nukes projectiles will make their welcome return to dominance.
I never left my BR or DMR alone as I always shoot, I use a grenade to either turn the tables on an attacker or move to fight a second or third enemy then fire, fire, fire, fire.
G and M stand for melee and grenade, I figured it was pretty obvious since that’s what this topic is about…
I care about what other people use to kill because spamming grenades and melee does nothing positive for gameplay. If someone sprints up to me to melee me, I can’t avoid it. The most that I can do is just melee them back and hope someone cleans up the kill.

He means First person Grenade or First person Melee. Still OP, it’s not as bad as being knifed in CoD.

OR you could pop their shields first and then melee them.
I’ve never understood why so many people can’t do that.
What are you talking about. Most kills come from guns, with the help of grenades or melee. Never do people expect to win a match my only throwing grenades or only running around punching people.
At least, after playing (trying, really) to play any Halo game on Legendary removes any hope of grenades and melee’ing to be effective. The DMR is mah buddy
You know what, you’re right. Halo is an FPS, we should get rid of all this other nonsense like grenades, melee, jumping (it’s not a FPJ!) and running (or a FPR!). It should just be you on some sort of turret shooting at other people on other turrets. That is what an FPS should be!
well theres nothing anyone can do about it, just try and kill the person before he/she gets near you. Whats the point complaining about this 343 cant really prevent this, just do your thing and try and kill before you get killed.
