It is overall looking very promising.
I’m very happy that they’re bringing Hivemind back in one way or another. Hivemind, and especially Last Stand, are my favorite variants of Infection to have ever graced the Living Dead playlists.
It’s also pretty dang nice that they’ve adjusted the Survivors’ initial ammo on spawn. Instead of the usual, the Shotgun comes with no spare shells while the AR comes with one spare clip. While I do think that might be too little starting ammo (I’ll have to play it of course before I can make my mind up), it’s nice to see that they’re adjusting the off-spawn ammo to help balance the gametype more, which is something I loved about with the Survivor weapon variants in H2A.
They’re doing nearly everything right right off the bat. Heck, friendly fire looks to be disabled Day1, like say what? I mean, we’ve already got Infection-specific maps and community-made maps right off the bad, and now friendly fire is also disabled? I posted in another thread the few issues I already see, but outside of those few, which are very minor compared to previous Day1 Living Dead playlist releases, this is overall looking very amazing for Day1.
Usually if something looks too good to be true, then it probably is. But this does not look like the case at all, which just makes me so freaking happy.
I’m still hoping for a Flood skin that can be enabled/disabled, but it doesn’t look like that’s going to be a thing, which will honestly have me quite sad if that’s true. :,(
Also, gotta wonder if the Infected Sword will have its own unique assassination. Man am I hoping so, because the ones in Halo 4 were siiick!
Let’s just hopes 343i updates the playlist regularly, aka not every 8 months twice like they did with the Flood playlist in Halo 4. Granted, those two updates were amazing, but the wait between both updates were 8 months apart, which is waaay too long to have to wait for an update.
