This how i want halo 4 to be(Small thread)!

Weapons, grenades and gimmicks.

  • Mix up Forerunnes, Human and Covenant weapons. 3 types of sniper? 3 types of rocket?
  • Color the weapons? In forge maybe.
  • Let there be grenades with different physics.
  • Equipment.

Game mechanics.

  • Spread.
  • Bleed through.
  • Only one speed.

Campaign.

  • Free roaming.
  • Have the option to use every vehicle and weapon in game.

Forge.

  • Enlarge and reduce different parts.
    Theater.

Why would Halo 4 need bleed-through? We already learned from Halo 3 that it leads to bland and boring confrontations. All that needs to happen there is have strong guns so that grenades and melee don’t need to be powerful.

Bleedthrough is ok. i never had a problem with it before. And i have played over 15thousand games in Halo 3. Dont just go in a straight line

I agree with everything apart from i dont realy want freeroam story

Lolno

so wrong

Halo 4 just needs to have the gameplay of Halo: CE and user interface/flexibility of Reach. It’s really that simple.

Explain. When I say “bland and boring confrontations” I refer to the frequency of AR rushing in Halo 3. Such a tactic was not skill-based and was very effective because of melee bleed-through. People got into CQC situations a lot more because punches were more powerful. Reach needs bleed-through as a necessity because it’s kill times are already very slow. When I said “strong guns” I meant guns that had faster kill times so that gameplay would be more focused on firearms instead of fists.

Why do people say that ar rushers where effective? Thats bull and everyone knows it. I f you Ar rush you get straight up wrecked by anyone with half a brain and a br. Even if your opponent has an Ar if he strafes you and you try to rush in you get wrecked.

Bleedthrough makes sense and it should stay for halo 4

The answer is simple, really: You now spawn with a zoom-capable five-shot pistol as a backup. You didn’t have that in Halo 3. There is no longer a reason to rush people because you start with a secondary weapon capable of stopping anyone charging you with an AR. Four quick pulls to the chest and one relaxed to the head and he’ll be on the floor before he gets anywhere near melee range.

dont forget textures in forge so items will be less bland.

Lol so the double pummel is better than the AR rush?

In my experience a noob has a FAR better chance of killing me by double pummel than by AR+melee.

And the underlying problem is not the bleedthrough, it is weapon balance.
