Summary
Sorry the hamster spinning your wheel in that noggin is so worn out. But I gave up because I’m looking more forward to the campaign, because I don’t want to grind the pass or the challenges because yeah, I want my spartan to look cool. Like I’ve been doing since CE since you know, it’s part of the multiplayer experience. I’m very good at the game. It is fun. But listen here chump, nobody wants to play Oddball for the 40th time when they just want to play Slayer or CTF. It gets old, -Yoink!- fast at that.
As for Pokemon, good for you thinking BD/SP is a soulless cash grab when it’s a pretty faithful remake for the most part to the old gen 4 copies. I do have my complaints with it though. It’s not a perfect game. I got it for $10 and it has significantly rewarded me more for my time in the game than Infinite has. But that’s just it though: I can literally pick up any other game and have more fun with it and be rewarded for my time than I do in Infinite. Good gameplay only gets you so far.
So maybe cut your -Yoink!- lol.
yeah playing oddball 5 times in a row with neandrethals is draining.
and i stopped playing pokemon after black and white, everything after just seemed so devoid of soul i stayed far away. the originals will always be superior. if you like it ok then. but personally, i wont be paying for the definitive trilogy remaster.
i just think caring about cosmetics is stupid. it just makes it easier to hit you.

It’s not just the cosmetics that’s the issue. It’s the lack of playlists. It’s the lack of fan favorite modes. It’s the lack of being able to avoid cheaters (I’ve ran into at least 4). It’s the lack of 343i offering the community any sort of answers for the feedback beyond " we hear you, but it’s gonna take time. " Like, we know it will take time. We just want to know what they’re gonna do with that time.
Will we get the playlists like we want? Are you going to act on the growing number of cheaters? Are you going to give us the ranking system we’ve been desiring as a sign of how long we’ve been playing? Where are our Service Records? Why’s the MTX store so over priced, will that get fixed? If so, which of these are coming first? When can we expect them?
Like I said, good gameplay can only get the MP so far. I have a ton of fun in the MP. But stomping everyone for the sake of stomping and having fun does get old when it’s all you do. I would have probably stuck around if at least BTB worked properly and each side had a fixed set of vehicles, instead of seeing a Mythical Scorpion Tank once in a blue moon in the last 3 minutes of a match.

Infinite’s MP is fun, but very shallow ATM.
You can ignore progression, sure, but lots of other people enjoy it. It’s all that offsets the shallow MP experience.
I can play infection all day without worrying about challenges or progression. I get tired of party shuffle pretty quickly, especially when you can get paired with people only concerned with challenges.

The MP is incredibly shallow currently. It has no meaningful sense of accomplishment anymore. The problem for me is that the current crop of objective gametypes pretty much suck for me. I don’t enjoy strongholds, stockpile, or 1 flag. Traditional ctf is alright, but it seems it’s only on 2 maps. I much prefer BTB Slayer or heavies over any other objective gametype. Personal preference for me, I’m sure someone has a different preference for themselves. One issue I have with 343 is they stripped our preference choice out of the game and told us their version of Halo is the best version. It’s just a slap in the face. I’m not gonna play Halo til the campaign comes out on 12/8. It’s not worth the time for these garbage playlist choices.
They want us to have the best Halo game they can produce so badly that they were going to make SWAT and FFA limited time events you could play for 6 weeks out of the year, with corresponding FOMO purchases in the store. Or made the only incentive structure in the game an RNG based challenge system that makes you grind an RNG based playlist where you can’t choose which game type you want to play. Or intentionally left out a slayer playlist inspite of knowing that’s what most people wanted because it would mess with their progression model and they know better than us what we want to play.

I think you have no idea what valid criticism is and just substitute the word hatred in its place. You probably think they will grant you a twenty dollar piece of armor for sticking up for them. Trust me they care about you even less than they care about this franchise, (They don’t).

I disagree with the threats of violence the devs more than likely received (its the internet so I’m sure its happened). They shouldn’t be threatened by lunatics over the internet.
The part that is warranted is criticism of 343 as a developer. The game feels half baked, as in previous titles released with much much more content. I fail to understand how they have a blueprint for how to make a successful halo game (ie previous games), and they haven’t managed that in 3 titles (MCC, halo 5, and now this one). Other halos launched with more game modes, and everything worked fairly well.
The progression system is its own problem, and like everyone says it’s a money grab. I understand the game is free to play, but this current model is just awful. The only game I have seen do free to play transactions correctly is warframe. The core of the game still feels not optimized to me. What I’m referring to is the aim mechanics, hit registration, and de sync. Videos are starting to circulate showing these issues, so they aren’t unfounded.
The one thing that seemed ignored yet again was there was a decent demand for a 1-50 system (i personally didnt care either way). That’s been a request for the past idk how many times, and its subsequently been ignored aside from it being in MCC (which was also a bad iteration of 1 to 50). Now its back to the bronze through onyx rankings. I personally don’t see how this game makes it past 4 months.

People defending 343i is fine, but sometimes it seems like they are trying to lump us that are critical of 343i in with the wackos that would be wacko regardless.
