Yeah, as someone with ADHD combined type (which includes impulsivity), I’m pretty disgusted at these tactics. In the past I’ve fallen prey to them pretty hard. I have managed to avoid it now, partly because I’m older and have been ripped off before, and partly because I just don’t want anything they’re selling. But I feel bad for other people with poor impulse control. Especially young people who haven’t learned yet.

The Forrest Gump approach to matchmaking and challenges is something I never knew I wanted. 343i really outdid themselves, and with how you enjoyed Halo 5, I really regret skipping the MP for that completely. Maybe I will sell a kidney and go play that after I grind out the PS here.

Instant gratification? Boy, we want a feature that’s been in Halo since it’s freaking CONCEPTION. CE you could freely change your color. Why not here? And don’t know if you noticed but in Reach you had to play the game and level up to unlock the pieces you wanted. That’s not instant gratification. In MCC you needed credits to to purchase pieces a season to work your way up to what you wanted or save them. That’s not instant gratification you fool.

People defending it need to realize that the legality of something doesn’t represent morally correct actions. Some reprehensible things have been legal in the past, and I wouldn’t compare this to some of those things on a 1-1 basis, it’s still scummy behavior non the less.

All joking aside, I’ve seen a lot of people on here saying it’s not a big deal about any of this, but freely admit they were 10-14 when Halo 4 came out. They don’t know what it was like during the Bungie era in terms of transparency and general updates. The sad part of this is that I remember Ske7ch’s Bungie weekly updates and how exciting they were to read every Friday afternoon. The younger generation of Halo fans don’t understand the issues because they weren’t here to experience the good times we used to have.
Not sure, and while I do try and listen to everyone I’m sensing some naivety from him. Perhaps some blind loyalty. Admirable, but mistaken IMO.

You’re absolutely right. What this kid doesn’t seem to get is that the vast majority of the fan base are in their 20s and up. We didn’t swipe mom’s card whenever we wanted something new in the game. We pulled our pants up and earned it. Halo is a long established franchise that comes with expectations that need to be met. Cuz this is 343s last chance. There won’t be another halo if they keep messing up like this. We don’t want this dudes Fortnite era bs. We want HALO. Hes not the future of this game. We are. He’ll hop on the next BR trend that pops up while we stay loyal to a really good game.
