Microsoft said this game will run at 60 frames a second and have its own dedicated servers.
If it has dedicated servers then its also multiplayer focused.
They say this is a legitimate Halo game so it must be Halo 5?
Since the Reclaimer triology is now a saga they are probably going to give every new Halo title its own indivdual name. Because honestly if I saw a cover saying “Halo 7” I would think thats silly from a consumer stand point.
Thats why they havent figired out a name for it yet. They want to name it something fancy like Halo the Reclimation.
What do you guys and girls think its going to be?
For me its the continuation from Halo 4 after its campaign.
better be not as crap as halo 4s multiplayer… halo used to be balanced now we have load outs, perks, and fukin ordnance drops with power weapons falling from the sky. need it to be back like halo 2 and 3.
dont know if i need to say this but possible spoilers
i think it’ll be a continuation of halo 4 but more of a find cortana or cheif trying to resolve the halsey being with the elites issue. i think it’ll solve a bunch of sub plots like that then go into halo 5 continuing humanities reclamation.
I think they’re gonna have bridge games now in between main installments. This could be a bride between Halo 4 and Halo 5 with Master Chief as the main character.
I think as soon as you start naming them things like Halo: Reclaimer or Halo: Whatever people start thinking of them as spinoffs. IMO the next game will be Halo 5. The trailer at E3 was just showing that Halo would be on the Xbox One. Just for MS to show off another game. It wasn’t necessarily showing off any particular Halo game. Just it’s presence on the Xbox One. I’d honestly be shocked if the next Halo wasn’t Halo 5. When you’re going with numbers in your story arch you stick with those numbers. You don’t just stop half way through and start naming the games.
The only way it would be ok is if the next games were say…
Halo 5: Random Title
Halo 6: Another Title
At this point I think MC’s story arc will be done and 343 will have(hopefully) built other characters up and then they could stop using the numbered titles for the remaining games.

Exactly, you know what you’re talking about. The main installments are numbered, spin-offs/side stories have subtitles. As for it being Halo 5, I don’t know for sure if I think it’s Halo 5 or a spin-off/bridge game set in between Halo 4 & Halo 5 that stars Master Chief.
That makes no sense. If the next game stars MC and is a continuation of Halo 4, then that’s Halo 5. Spin offs don’t involve main central characters of a chronological story
I have to disagree.
All we know about the game is that it’s going to be centered around the Chief, yet it isn’t going to be related to the events seen in the E3 trailer, which honestly only leaves some form of a spin off including the chief.
Also Reach and Halo Wars were both spin offs with their own dedicated multiplayer so the fact that it has multiplayer doesn’t limit out a spin off.
Purely means the announcement trailer wasn’t to announce Halo 5, it was to announce a Halo game is indeed coming, in 2014, on Xbox One, with 60 FPS and dedicated servers.
What that game will be, considering the CGI showed off Chief with Cortana’s chip, about to get his -Yoink- kicked by a Forerunner Sphinx?
Well, it is pretty obvious it is going to be a continuation of Halo 4’s story from Chief’s standpoint, but it may not be called ‘Halo 5’.

Or you know it isn’t that at all. It definitely follows Halo 4s storyline, but maybe it is Chiefs journey in the six months after Halo 4 when we were busy with Spartan Ops, in which case it would be a 4.5 type game. You never know.

Whats your opinion on that being mendicant bias? Buried underneath the sand on the ark?
War sphinxs are described as being 10 meters high and 20 long. Atleast the out dated ones. And the one in the trailer is way taller than 10 meters.
To be honest, having a bunch of spinoffs staring Chief may be a bit too much Chief.
And if the trailer is any kind of representation towards whats coming in the story this looks really big to be a spinoff, especially if some of the theories are correct. If they use this to continue the story and set up Halo 5, there will be a massive gap of story for those that wouldn’t have played this game.

A “legitimate Halo game”, set “after the events of Halo 4” featuring Master Chief and the continuation of the story of the Reclaimer Saga with actual multiplayer is Halo 5 and nothing else. By your logic Halo 2 might have been called a side game that bridges between Halo CE and Halo 3. What makes that statement even more ridiculous is the fact that multiple executives from Microsoft have referred to it as Halo 5 in interviews and tweets. The reasons why they haven’t revealed a name yet are likely due to not settling on a logo (5 is a tough number, especially in the Halo font) and that they are waiting to fully reveal the game at another time. They might also be working on a subtitle of sorts, but that still doesn’t change the fact that this game is Halo 5 and that everyone that refers to it as Halo 5 is not incorrect (until and unless another name is announced, which I doubt).
RAN AND SHAI thank you for having sense. Took the words out of my mouth. And also for everybody who thinks that the purpose for the cloak is because his armor is destroyed or whatever, Frank already said MC is purposely trying to disguise himself.
I believe that it will be Halo 5 simply because its the 1st Halo game to come out on XB1, and the name ‘Halo 5’ is more likely to get people to buy XB1 than some spinoff or side story Halo game. If I was whoever’s pulling 343’s strings at -Yoink!-, I’d want 343 to name this game Halo 5.
