Look, I understand that 343i has to focus on content for HW2, planning tournaments for HCS, and working on the upcoming Halo tittle (aside from taking breaks and vacations), that’s fine they’re busy people. However, I think 343 should at least tell us something on the a new update instead of leaving us here with no answers. I’d be fine if there wasn’t any more updates for Halo 5 anymore, the rotation playlists gives the game a certain fresh of breath air for a time and the custom browser is fun and gives me a break from the sweaty arena and the warzone farming. I’m really disappointed that they haven’t said anything in the past 7 months! That’s more than the regular 3 month period that we had after the monthly updates. I’m getting a bit impatient about literally not knowing anything about the update. Like can you at least tell us something about it? Like if you are or aren’t going to make another update for the game?
What if there isn’t another update? It only sounds like they’ll be incorporating refreshes and special playlists (H3A/Classic) from now on…
Man, this community really needs to stop assuming that there’s more/certain things coming, without any sort of basis… anyone remember the Falcon? 
I don’t think we’re getting another update it’s been soo long since the last one and if there was we would have already gotten or at least have some info on it. What they’re gonna do and have been doing is give us new playlists here and there like the h3 anniversary one we’re getting. Halo 5 has gotten more than enough post launch support and I’d rather them focus on future titles than continue to update a game that’s nearly 2 years old.
I’d put money on us getting at least one more update. The Sentinel Beam and Grenade Launcher still don’t have all of their REQ variants. The 4k update will prolly be the last proper update for the game, and alongside the update to 4k for the X, I bet it adds some more REQs, and one new map as a last hurrah for the game.
(Maybe we’ll get it closer to the Halo 3 event and they will add in the Halo 3 BR for the Halo 3 playlist so that it actually feels like Halo 3. That’s the biggest maybe of all time, but it would be amazing if they did.)
They’ll probably just do mini updates every now and then like the H3 playlist coming in September and the sticker weapon skins that are now available in the REQ store.

I don’t think you payed attention to what I was saying in the post. I’m not assuming anything, 343 has stated before that after the release of the Anvil’s Legacy content drop we were getting two more content drops. One was Monitor’s Bounty which came out last December and now we’re waiting for the next one. I’m not just assuming blindly like if I expect for them to keep on dropping a -Yoink- tone of updates, for me I just want for them to announce if they’re going to release the last one that they’ve stated before.

Lmao so what? You’re making it sound like it’s a stupid phase on just asking questions about something that we haven’t been notified in more than half a year. Like I’m not asking for an update I’m asking if there’s even going to be one so we won’t be left hanging as if there is one or not. I find it funny how they don’t even bother to address anything about it and they ignore people whenever someone ask if there’s going to be a new update for Halo 5 or not.

I believe so. I think they announced that awhile back.
I think there still something for Halo 5. Remember the plasma launcher from Reach into warzone firefight? And the yellow ultra-rare grenade launcher variant?
Maybe they will update Halo 5 at least one more time, but we don’t know anything yet, the more 343 keeps silent as time passes the more they lose the right timing to update the game.
They should at least publicly announce that halo 5 will receive no more content updates.
I do remember reading about an update, but the focus was to pull in players for HW2. I tried the first installment and didn’t find it enjoyable at all; multiplayer, forget it.
I played several online games and felt that the matches were really one sided.
I was actually new to halo wars back during release and I was hyped and got the limited edition controller and flames for the hog… I kind of regret that now.
Gears of War (sorry guys) Attempted at a system to clear out new players matching up with exp players.
I just feel that we can grow the halo population if we give new players a seperate playlist that is locked after a certain level. Why are we throwing new players to the wolves?
I feel this is the exact reason we lose players. New players dont want lose.
Gonna be honest I’m kinda disappointed with it, but no new content means I’m not missing out on anything while Im gone. I don’t come home till the end of the year, reason being is that I just got out of basic training for the U.S. Air Force and I have 3 months of tech school. I’d hate to have new content out while I’m gone. But no new content sucks too, I’ll live, especially with cod ww2, I’m probably not gonna touch halo.
Tbh I’m not disappointed with 343i not making anymore updates/announcements, and I think that’s a really sad thing for me to finally say out loud (in a way). Cause I should be clamoring for news from them right? Unfortunately, it’s pretty telling of how Halo 5 has failed (at least for me), in the way that it can’t keep me excited, the last time I remember getting truly excited for Halo 5 was when Warzone firefight came out, and that let me down very quickly. I think that if 343i is done with this game I’m not disappointed at all, I think that they should focus all their resources on making the next Halo the best it can possibly be.

They mixed in the HCS FFA in the regular FFA playlist pretty much. FFA maps have changed a lot.
Technically as much as we all know the last update for H5G is the Xbox One X update, but I wouldn’t put it past them to release one last small cosmetic update with skins and armors.
I’m content with what is already in the game, though would still love more content! What would be a perfect final DLC for me? Maybe a new arena map (I play Arena most), a new weapon (as well as its REQ variants, and even some more variants for weapons already in the game), a new vehicle variant or two, and a couple of new sets of armour, emblems and a set of weapon skins. I would love if they gave out an emblem exclusive to those who have been playing the game since launch (or, atleast, soon after launch), as I think that would be a super nice gift to the community who have been there since H5’s launch and a way to celebrate this amazing game.
