This new call of duty gun
I could swear i have seen this gun before… nice name for it.
A copy of the Halo 5 Rocket Launcher, great.
well then…

Looks like a copy to me too
What do you expect? It’s a rocket launcher. Not very many ways to design a practical-to-use launcher aside from tube + grip + trigger.
If anything, blame 343 for making the M57 PILUM look generic.
Seriously give them a break. Like EMPEROR NOVA01 said, there is not many ways to design a rocket launcher that would be practical and believable.

I was thinking the same thing when I read this thread.

This
Alright, my dudes. This has to stop.
Just because games might have armor that resembles MJOLNIR, or rocket launchers that look relatively similar to Halo 5s, doesn’t mean they’re copying Halo. There are only a few different design paths you can go for. If anything, it’s a coincidence.
It’s even called the Spartan, which is a funny coincidence.
That being said, I feel like 343i is more at fault here than anybody. I still don’t understand why they created such an uninspiring and generic rocket launcher for Halo 5, especially when we had one that was perfect enough already. I feel like this is more a case of both developers creating generic launchers rather than a case of straight-up copying.

I mean, as Hotrod192 said, it is called the Spartan too.
It also locks onto air targets with an optical smart lock, what a weird coincidence too. Isn’t Halo 5’s Rocket Launcher that is wielded by Spartans that is only able to lock onto air targets via Smart-Link, but can also be fired without the lock-on (dumb fire)?
It’s too similar to not say CoD is nearly copying the design of H5’s Launcher.

wait
it’s called the Spartan?
alright
this is going over the top
I love how they didn’t even try to hide that it was a rip-off with the name. Might as well add the REQ versions of the rocket launcher to supply drops while you’re at it, infinity ward.
First a Pelican and now the Rocket Launcher. COD is jelous
Surprised no-one’s mentioned how similar Halo 5’s Rocket Launcher is to DOOM 2016’s Rocket Launcher.
At least they didn’t use the classic rocket design.

I’m looking at it and I’m not seeing any similarities aside from the fact that they are both green, have yellow stripes, and both are single-tube launchers.
Differences:
-Muzzle (if that’s what it’s called on a rocket launcher) shape
-Shoulder rest
-Foregrip (Adjustable on M57, static on DOOM)
-Overall shape
-Magazine (exposed to player view on M57)
Pictures:
M57 PILUM Assault Weapon (Halo 5: Guardians).
Rocket Launcher (DOOM 2016).

That picture looks more like a Spartan laser haha
ok it does seem like a copy, but then again doesn’t every generic rocket launcher somehow look that way
