I would love to see more customization on the starting guns. I am not talking about scopes and lasers. Just clarifying, it would not effect game play. I would like to see something like Forza’s paint jobs, as seen here. Thoughts?
Similar to Reach’s Spartan-III customisation in that aesthetics rather than function can be customised, that’s fine by me.
Give 'em a lick of paint too. Maybe hand-painted with Kinect.

I thought this thread was set up to attack ppl who call ‘dibs’ on the sniper (or other weapons) and then betray anyone who takes it. Those ppl are stupid.
That’s what I thought they were implying too, OP. If you look at some of the H4 footage the BR MC holds during the campaign looks different to the one we see in multiplayer.

In a way, but it would be more like having a 360 view of your starting weapon and being able to paste on your name in a assortment of fonts or being able to add stripes, lines, shapes, or emblems etc. It would not change the shape of the gun in anyway but it would make your spartan feel more personal.

I never noticed that but I am saying that I would like some more personality in my weapons.

Yeah that could work. Seeing how so many people are in love with the BR, it wouldn’t hurt to be able to personalize to your taste (as far as looks). I for one will take pride in my -Yoink!- gun and enjoy killing people with it. I think it will work best unsc weapons, because they usually lack the hmmm … unique colors of the covy/forerunner (perhaps though forerunner things remind me of silver/gray).
I definitely would care less about personalizing a assault rifle, since they aren’t really speacial imo.

I know what you mean and I’d right behind on the BR bandwagon of customization haha!
I would not want them to do that. I remember playing black ops and seeing everyones gun looking like it was manufactured by a clown circus.

We really don’t need gun customization. Everything I have been hearing lately sounds like something from COD.
