that doesnt make the og reveal, which was off screen any less lame

When you’re on the Gbraakon they reveal on screen in front of you in a hologram that everyone thinks he’s dead. They also reveal his death on screen in the Cortana flashback. And they reveal his survival on screen. IMO, none of that takes place off screen.

doesnt help the cortana flashbacks put me to sleep too

What music?
Infinite’s music is simply infinitely unremarkable and far, far away from an epic score other games in this franchise had to offer.

My thought is both from story and level design. 75/25 value here for me with level design being weighted at 75%.

Story: I thought it was terrible but I also think 4 and 5 was so bad as well that infinite didn’t have a chance to salvage it. So while I didn’t like basically anything of the story I never expected much either. The post H3 storyline is a mess.

Level design/gameplay: probably straight up worst in the franchise. The open world stuff was really bad, painfully unfun and a retread of concepts we’ve had for 10+ years in other games and also somehow worse than those games.

The boss fights… yeah not one of them was fun.

The linear levels were also really bad. Mostly all indoor copy and paste big hallways.

The game also lacked those big halo “set piece” moments.

I have even more criticism but probably get my point. I really didn’t like this campaign. The game design is mostly void of any creativity.

It certainly is all very derivative of the previous work, but I felt it added some new dimensions as well. I liked the extended Halo theme (“Zeta Halo”) I liked “Sacrifice,” “Reverie,” “Through the Trees,” and “A Message.”

“The Endless” (song title) was a cool twist and new direction to me. Whereas their story was much less interesting…

Aside from that? Yeah most of it is pretty unremarkable, particularly all the percussion… the newer recordings of some things sounded great but I wanted something new as well.

The OG reveal was on screen though. The first time you learn of Atriox’s death is in the joint Atriox/Escharum hologram on the warship Gbraakon. This is very much an on-screen reveal.

And that’s why I actually don’t mind it, God forbid there be teamwork. This is what the whole Battle Royale thing has done to people nowadays they’re used to soloing everything and not playing in the team.

Well before I even played battle royale I loved the fact that Halo 5 let you solo everything. I would take care of whole teams every game because the thruster allowed you to dodge incoming damage. Now your spartan is just a stick in the mud and can’t do anything

I’ve learned from Bungie years ago to never have high expectations.

We all know when a game releases it’s going to have issues, but no one knew things were going to be this bad that 343 totally manipulated their fans and they don’t even have any shame in doing so.

with how buggy this game is one of the few ways to give us players recompence would be to make the next battle pass free, or give us a few free bundles as an apology. a lot of games have done it in the past like assassin’s creed unity came out broken AF, they made all of the DLC free

I’ve learnt from the past two console generations that games now frequently launch incomplete or with major bugs and glitches, whether they’re solo games or focused on online multiplayer…

Individual skill will shine for everybody on the team after you manage to recognize your team as flowing water.

Sun tzu says: "Water shapes its course according to the nature of the ground over which it flows;
the soldier works out his victory in relation to the foe whom he is facing.
Therefore, just as water retains no constant shape, so in warfare there are no constant conditions

Yeah, but not every company spends 6 years deceiving their player base.

If I’m not playing for money then I don’t care about that.

“All players can see the tactics whereby I conquer, but what none can see is the strategy out of which victory is evolved. Do not repeat the tactics which have gained you one victory, but let your methods be regulated by the infinite variety of circumstances. Military tactics are like unto water; for water in its natural course runs away from high places and hastens downwards. So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong and to strike at what is weak.”
