HELL NO! Just the developer and Microsoft if they don’t get their act together and seriously clean house.
Actual trash tier game. The foundation is rotten. The desync/hitreg issues are atrocious. The matchmaking is broken beyond belief. I’ve never been this frustrated with a game ever.
I wanted to love it really bad, but every time I try to play, I hate it and myself more.
The entire franchise is doomed, especially after this dumpster fire of a launch, and the complete lack of involvement on 343’s part with their continuous vacations…….if I was a board member at Microsoft I’d be looking at cutting 343 entirely for their fraud, waste, and abuse.
Microsoft just bought out activision/COD so I won’t be surprised if 343 is on the chopping block after the hot dumpster juice of a game they just produced.
Think about it this way.
If the dev’s stop working on Infinite because the game is dying and bleeding profit. Halo will become a dead franchise and 343i will become obsolete.
if 343i doesn’t turn this game around nobody will buy another Halo. Thus making Halo a dead franchise. I truly believe this game is Halo’s last stand. If they can’t make it work this time just pack it up and go home because the consumers are done with this bs.
I’d let Rare have it. I think they could bring back the fun that is missing from it currently. Also they have experience with a live service game they is fairly well thought of now.
“If they can’t make it work this time just pack it up and go home because the consumers are done with this bs.”
Agree. I supported 343i through Halo 4 and 5. I have played in the betas and flights. And I’ve been patient for 6 years! Hell, I even have a ‘halo’ address… But Halo Infinite has made me so disappointed, I have to motivate myself to simply turn on my Xbox Series X. And at this point I don’t give a crap about Paramount+ Halo series…
If 343i really wants to turn this thing around; The first thing they need to do is stop listening to the PvP purist who think ‘sprint’ is a mortal sin and wish it was still 2001…
@343i If you want real and positive feedback, you have my email.
“It was designed to heavily around teamwork”
For a game that was released with NO campaign co-op…
To be fair, Halo Infinite multi-player played much better during the betas and flights. But to wait 6 years for this campaign with no co-op, no individual mission start, etc. is so disappointing.
I’m surprised more people aren’t complaining about how you’re able to reload and regenerate your shield while sprinting. Sprinting is way stronger in this game than 5.
Many, many other games have sprint and faster game movement and don’t have these kinds of net-code issues.
…?
As of now I would have to agree with you. Halo 3, ODST and Reach were great games in their time. But that’s it, Halo was a campaign first and multi-player second. Now it’s the reverse. Indeed, for the first time in the franchise’s history 343i released multi-player before the campaign.
You mean like any other game developed in the past 10 years…
Seriously, the fact that there are still people who can’t come to terms with ‘sprint’ in modern game of 2022 is one of the reasons why players are leaving Halo Infinite and will lead to the ultimate doom of the Halo franchise.
I’m surprised people are still crying about sprint instead of adapting and getting over it or just moving on to something else.
Halo fans can beat you in your games, but you can’t play ours. Why are you so terrified of a game that would actually punish you for your mistakes? “Halo” games with sprint die quick. It’s a statistical fact.
No it’s a personal opinion. Reach is still going strong, Halo 4 died quick due to controversy, not sprint, 5 died fairly quick to to technical issues and lack of polish not sprint, Halo Infinite is dying not because of sprint but because overall it’s just a bad game in almost every aspect.
EDIT: To clarify I love Halo 2 Classic just as much as I enjoy playing Reach and 4, so don’t give me that “Oh you’re just scared to play games without sprint” BS. I just don’t like Halo 3 because personally I think it’s overrated and overhyped af. It’s by no means a bad game, but it isn’t the best either.
I mean there were already countless threads here and elsewhere along with videos showing how the series declined because of sprint, load outs, and abilities. There’s no reason to bring it up again. I only mentioned how you can reload and regen while you’re running away. At least in 5 you couldn’t sprint while being shot and you couldn’t regenerate your shield. It was balanced. Being allowed to run around like that with a mangler, sword, or needler is stupid.
Clearly you don’t appreciate the difference between negative reinforcement and positive reinforcement…
And we wonder why a game that teaches Learned Helplessness doesn’t keep its player base.
You mean like Destiny 2 that has sprint and over 144,000+ playing today. Or maybe that sprint is causing Apex Legends to “die” with over 288,000+ playing today. There’s at least a dozen more games that have sprint that currently have a lager player base than Halo Infinite.
Yes, it was a game mechanic to get you to stop so a so-called “skilled” PvP purist could get a headshot on you. I mean trying to hit a moving target would make them look bad…
Thank you, honestly i thought i was the only one, but im glad to see its more of the community that feel the exact same way about it
Why did you purposely cut Halo from that quote? Just stop.
Yes. You should be punished for your mistakes like CE. That’s why it’s still the most skill based Halo. You can’t cower from 1v1s.
