This game was doomed from the start...

Now I’m not gonna sit here in rage. Instead I’ma logically deduce why what I titled this to be true…

However, let me first review the positives.

1st, this game has serious potential. From the layouts an tactical points, to its diversity in heros, powers, an even vehicles. This game is ever changing an works the mind more than most of its kind.

2nd, it’s off a huge franchaise, that alone brings in a large player base an opens up people to a revived game type.

However… as I titled this game was doomed from the start. From over hyping, to several campaign glitches an broken ai mechanics such as telport ing your units off map, light bridges to progress not activating no matter how much you turn them on. To its short an straight forward game play in campaign. It doesn’t do a good job at letting you get a real feel to how everything works.

Instead you have to experiment online for several hours to get down the basics of everything rather than being prepared by the campaign. Now that’s not all bad, seeing how it’s still unique, however being so straight forward with objectives just makes the game play feel tedious an boring, an that you have no way of trying your own tactics.

Now for the biggest problem… online gameplay. From rushed dlc, imbalance, bugs, stability, slow release of patches, ignoring the community, bugs an broken cheap game tactics, to not understanding ranking systems for these types of games, an much more… it’s just gonna get worse from here, unless.serious effort is invested.

Patch notes an balance have been a problem since release. Games like this require extream commitment. At minimum, a patch tweeking balance or minor bugs should be done bi weekly, at best weekly. Instead we have monthly or even bi monthly, which is astonishingly absurd for a game such as this.

Balance has barely been done, an constantly an issue. Only very minor things have been addressed an not enough per patch. The community has made it very clear that banish choppers, their beam powers an banshee rushes are a serious problem. Scarabs are much more difficult than the human counterparts to deal with, an both long range anti infiltry units are terrible at their role. Bases should start with turrets, an be cheaper to produce or buffed. The list goes on an on an none has been even addressed.

Server stability has been a frequent problem an few have been addressed on solutions besides “refer to this post, lock current post” when their issue can not be resolved by said solution. Constant dcs. An no team forgiveness have made ranked a nightmare for everyone.

Ranked in itself has so many problems as a whole without all the other mentioned issues thus far. Solo an dou que should be an option for all players as this has become more of a who can rush one base faster, over a actual tactic game of the mind, making premades have the edge against randoms. Many ayers enjoy testing their single base skills an capabilities to try an carry their team, over rushing for a 5 min win.

The constant rush of dlc content, does not match the income to progestin rate players, an payers expect to keep this game running. Since release, this games popularity is less than 15% of its peak. Just in the past month the player base has dropped over 50% of what it was prior. Resulting in longer ques, repeated unfair matches, an overall less income for.the company.

I brought several topics up I’ve mentioned here before an the best thing I got, an pretty much the only reply was, “they are currently in e3 mode”, followed by the discussion locked. However that does not matter for the prior post an several months of issues that have not been addressed. I mean our last patch was may 22nd… an it wasn’t that drastic of a patch, an the same issues that players faced still exist to this day.

No matter the reasoning for neglect, there should be some kind of focus on addressing smaller issues such as obvious over powered units, or a direct focus on server stability. If even one of these were addressed, gameplay would improve dramatically.

Again, this was just a general,breakdown of everything i, an I am sure, many people hope to see addressed in the very near future. I hope 343 can at least look at this post an get a general idea on what needs to be done an what the community thinks needs to be addressed.

I’m locking this for the same reason I locked your last topic - please keep the forums clear for logging actual support requests. Just because they aren’t replying directly, doesn’t mean that all the bug reports and issues that are being reported aren’t being collected and passed on to CA where appropriate. Patches need time to be developed, tested and certified. Weekly releases just really aren’t an option for a game like this.
