So I get everyone is doing a BR these days, and the main argument to not having one is “well everyone else is doing it, so it will die” Everyone else also has a single player, and almost every other game has a normal multiplayer mode. I don’t see Halo coming out with no multiplayer because “everyone else is doing it”.
Halo is the ONE GAME that a BR mode would fit the story. Spartan training hot dropping in. In the books and in the games he jumps out of aircraft and lands to the ground. You could have 100 Spartans fly out of pelicans or a huge ship like the PoA flying by. Then before landing, just activate slight thrusts to land, and then let the spartan battle begin.
Every Halo fan I have ever talked to has said how awesome a br would be in Halo 6. I am not sure why in the world you would leave this game mode out, other than it will take a lot of work to balance it, add it in, and keep it updated. Multiplayer for 5 was super solid, but the single player story line was… BAD. Like whoever wrote it didn’t read all the books and was not a Halo fan at all.
I think considering Halo has had an insane amount of games, it’s time to add something new than just a multiplayer mode that had mostly been the same, and a single player game everyone will be done with in a day. With multiplayer, a BR, a single player, firefight, and anything else you add in, you will have people playing your game for a long long time if done right.
