Halo Infinite has only been out for about 2 months and i already barely play it ill go on here and there and play a match or two but its getting boring playing on the few maps there is and the limited game types.
Also only getting XP for completing matches and not how you perform in the matches is just BS like cool i got 25 kills 4 deaths all these medals and stuff for 50 xp woohoo.
I jump back on each week to see the weekly reward and check the store which the weekly reward is a freaking armour emblem like seriously who is gonna grind challenges for that? And the store is completly recycled minus 1 bundle.
And i saw their update post which only mentioned fixing btb and addressing cheaters. For every other halo game when it first came out i played the heck out of them for years and it makes me so sad that infinite just came out and im already bored with it because there is NO content at all.
The gameplay is great imo its just all the stuff the game is missing and the atroscious progression and xp system. Why didnt they just use the MCC ranks or any of the past halos. I love playing the stuff and earning stuff for how i perform or doing really hard challenges or something… i really hope they start adding content soon because i wanna play and have fun and right now i just dont.

Let’s be realistic here.
New maps could come.
New weapons could come.
Maybe some custom game options could come.
The problem is there is a lot that needs to be fixed that isn’t content related like no collison. Any content update will take a while and even if it didn’t there would still be the other issues.
And let’s say we did get new maps and weapons and a bit more options it still wouldn’t do much. It’s not like they are adding in brand new never before seen game modes.
Really the only thing that would be true content would be forge but you already know that’s a ways a way

^ This. Also, the leaked game modes will likely come faster than a new map/weapon. There’s a ton of “non content” changes that can be made in the meantime that’ll massively improve the game.

I’d rather them not rush things too quickly. Other wise we’ll just probably get unpolished and unfinished content just like we did when this game released…

They could fix all those “non content” things and i still wouldnt play. There is no incentive to play.
I want to have ranks like MCC where im constantly leveling up or every halo game before where i either rank up or down like Halo 2 or Halo 3. I want to be able to complete hard challenges to earn cosmetics. I dont want the weekly reward to be some stupid armour emblem that nobody gives a crap about. If they fixed player collison and all the stuff you all say the game would still be boring playing on the same few maps.

I think the easiet solution would be to make grifball and infection happen. Yes they need to make things for these game modes to work but at the very least there are simple game modes that could be worked on. I know for a fact I’ll jump on a lot more if there were those two game modes

Prioritizing Forge with a custom game browser would have allowed for a bit more breathing room for variety.
Needs to happen soon. Definitely need new “biomes” which they’ve referred to before.
The only map in space has zero windows…
