I’m not sure what the great people at 343i were thinking when they came up with the idea of AR starts in what’s supposed to be the Competitive playlist, but for Arena to be fully competitive it needs to have all of the base slayer and Obj. gametypes to have BR or DMR starts. There is nothing competitive about AR starts. If we could get BR or DMR starts in Arena as soon as possible it would be really nice and would be way more competitive feeling.
I agree it does need competitive starts, that’s why you start with a magnum.

Or maybe finding BR and DMR on the map increases map control which was a pinnacle part of halo multiplayer.

Even though everyone with any sort of skill switches to the Pistol immediately.

I disagree, I like the AR/Pistol starts.
The BR/DMR/Carbine can be found in a lot of places and spawn quickly. I like the way it is now. I think its competitive.
I hated being forced to start with a BR. There was no need to pick up anything on the map (besides snipe/rocks).
That being said, I think there should be a playlist for the BR start people. At least one lol
