I remember Halo 4 had a kill cam on release and it was amazing. For some reason they got rid of it, anybody know why?
I’ve gotta say that the SINGLE most frustrating thing in Halo 5 is not seeing how and where somebody killed you from. Countless times I’ll be rolling around, not see any enemies then BANG, dead. Then when I swivel around on my body there is nobody to be seen and I’ll have been killed by a melee or something. Absolutely rage inducing.
Or when you’re walking around and get killed in 0.0002 seconds from an assault rifle that’s come out of nowhere. Clearly you were double or triple teamed but again, nobody in sight.
I think we need a kill cam in Halo 5. What do you guys think?
Also tell me reasons why they wouldn’t implement this.
No, because it doesn’t belong in Halo. You have the -Yoink!- cam. Yes it was in 4, it was one of the many crappy mistakes they made with 4. Glad they learned from that one. You do have the option to go in theater if you’d like after the game and investigate bull crap deaths. It’s a good way to learn.

Don’t say something is crap without listing any reasons why. I did ask, why would they not implement it. Saying something is bad for the sake of is not constructive and not good practice. Makes you sound like a squeaker. Give me a good reason why it should be implemented.
Also who can be bothered wasting 10 minutes loading up a game in theatre to check out one bs death. Not worth it.

Did you not read the OP? Track cam, swivelling on body, nothing shows an enemy. Countless times this happens even if you were killed out in the open by an assault rifle and there’s nowhere for your enemy to hide in that split second the track cam takes to follow him.
It literally has nothing to do with hand holding. Why do you people always make the most irrelevant statements. A kill cam won’t aid you in anyway of finding your opponent. Only thing it does is make you learn from your mistakes and see what moves you made wrong.
I’m sure you meant no ill will, but please don’t think you’re my boss or something and tell me how I should post. Thank you. Besides I did list why…it doesn’t belong in Halo and was one of the many things a lot of us didn’t like that was done in 4. When you die in Halo it is a time to enjoy some sweet tea as you prepare to go back into battle.

And literally not one reason was listed that day.
Statements like:
“It doesn’t belong in Halo” who are you to say it doesn’t belong?
“A lot of us didn’t like it in Halo 4” I could likewise say a lot of people did. see how flawed this logic is?
Are not impactable reasons as to why the system was not feasible or worth it or game breaking.
Part of the fun in Halo is being sneaky. What good is camo or a sniper rifle or actually using the map instead of run and gun if the kill cam gives you away after 1 kill?
From what I remember of the Halo 4 kill cam, it wasn’t very accurate. The times I watched how someone killed me, their reticle wasn’t even on me, which caused more frustration than actually being killed.
I actually remember ranting to my friends during a match saying that 343 should’ve made sure the kill cam worked properly before implementing it.
Also, Theater barely works in this game, so imagine how bad a kill cam would’ve been? Probably would’ve been worse than in Halo 4.
It was in the beta, however it was awful, not because it dosn’t belong in halo, but because it was just wrong and 343 didn’t do it properly.
Call of duty prides itself on kill cams, you could say they have perfected the art. However 343 was trying to be new and hip for halo 4, but they made meny rookie mistakes.
They basically shoved it in there game and it received harsh criticism to say the least, so they took it out of halo 5.
I personally don’t care if it’s in the game or not, but I know it’s just something halo shouldn’t have. We need to inovate with out being posers.

And yet the only reasons that mattered were listed that day. The logic isn’t flawed if you had saw all the other threads about this over the years and it ultimately being removed. Obviously 343 saw the need to change it back based on feedback. Look, it’s late here and I’m about 2 hours later getting to sleep than I should be, but I’ll say this as that wasn’t to your satisfaction.
The main reason is when you die in Halo, it’s time to get the tea you deserve. Kill cams took that away. That is really the main reason but since you seem to need more than that, there is also the point of another player has outplayed you, maybe even has a good position so you die and the the kill cam gives you that position. That is where the hand holding comment is coming from by the other poster. Besides there are very few kills that you can’t tell how or why they happened. You learn by playing, and if that isn’t good enough then load theater. Or not.
In any event I’m done for tonight. Later.

It was removed because it broke part of what made Halo, well, Halo. Tactical thinking was a big part of Halo, and if you can see what weapons the enemies have, how much ammo they have, etc. It removes the “don’t be an idiot and rush in because you don’t know how much ammo they have” aspect.

If u want to know where u were killed from focus on where the shots or grenades came from.if u want a kill cam go play COD it never should have been in halo to begin with
I get mad sometimes when as you said happens, just walking around, minding my own business. Nobody in sight, and then BOOM! Dead in .001 seconds, no time to even turn around or run…
I don’t want the kill cam back in halo, I thought it was stupid, out of place, and gave away the other person’s position…
However, I do wish in warzone you could spin your camera around on your dead body to see other angles!!!
I mostly play warzone soo I hate that I cant spin the camera, you can do it in arena. Why not warzone? I guess cuz you have respawn location options, but I use the d-pad for that.

L0000000L I love the hell out of halo 5 but halo 5 is broken as -Yoink- still. No way they would fix the killcam if they added it in the game.
