This game needs a Harsher AFK kick time, enough is enough

The AFK time to kick needs to be a minute long, I’m tired of getting losses in my matches because people aren’t playing the game, it’s not fun when you got half a team playing

There’s literally another topic on this, just a few topics down. Don’t really need a second one on this now, thank you.

A minute? 10s max, it’s not like the game gets you into a match in no time, first there’s the 3s countdown before the matchmaking even starts, then there are various loadings, of which “other players loading” can take A LOT of time, then the map loads, then there’s the map and players overview, so sorry but no sorry, you knew exactly that you’re getting into a match, you did it on purpose, now play the game or get out, it’s as simple as that.

Yesterday I had a match of attrition where we had to wait almost whole match for that one afker to be kicked out because we simply couldn’t kill him due to afk protection (which just shows 343 have no clue what they’re doing), the gane thrown him out literally seconds before the match would end anyway, vsovlike you say, enough is enough!

I tried MW2 for some time the other week and I was shocked that people get kicked out almost instantly compared to Infinite, it was literally like 5-10s, so the matches barely start and there’s already a free slot to join for someone new who actually does want to play the game, and that’s exactly how it should’ve been done.

There is no such thing as AFK protection. You can kill AFK players, that’s why they are annoying.

If you see someone that you can’t kill, it’s not because they are AFK, but because they crashed and their game is not fully closed yet (think about freezes, or windows still doing the thing where it tries to repair, etc.).

The game just can’t connect your shots to their side because of that crash/freeze and that is why you can’t kill them i think. There is no connection to their avatar anymore, but the game still sees they are running the game and therefore thinks they are still in the match. That bug should be fixed.

Yeah wholly agreed. WAY too many leavers too. It’s… really dragging my experience down.

AFK players are one thing sure, but what about the straight up quitters? I have more issues with the Quitters than I do with the AFK players, sure the AFKs are a royal pain too, but the Quitters is we’re the real problems lie. Quitting and AFK-ing should= same punishment methods.

I’m one of those that sometimes Leave when playing BTB or Qucik Play 4v4 under these main circumstances:

  1. 343’s server puts me in a game that exceeds 100+ ms ping time, especially with QuickPlay. My usual QuickPlay matches are 20 to 30 ms and BTB is 30 to 40 ms, if the HI Server selector picks the nearest server to me which is Seattle - NW USA. I’m not playing games where I’m at a 3x + ping disadvantage because their Server selector is broken.

  2. Some game types I just hate like Skokets or I’ll have a game where people clearly aren’t interested in playing Objective modes in BTB. For example, you get into a BTB match, jump onto the back of a Hog and our “team mate” then drives off the map , not by accident, they did it on purpose. Or they are running over their own players on Ghosts or ATVs’ or WartHogs.

If they want me to continue with HI, they have to allow us to play on the nearest Server for low ping games and they need to add one mode Play lists, like BTB Slayer or QuickPlay Slayer.
