With all the lag, and no, it’s not me, I have no problems playing any other online game. No lag problems in any other game I play, except Halo 4.
Seriously, every single game is filled with teleporting, time rewinding, loading opponents with your entire clip of DMR/BR without them dying. Shooting rockets or incineration cannon and it not coming out until you look somewhere else, which results in a suicide.
Seriously, this game is unplayable, and a piece of trash because of it.
I have been having issues with Halo 4’-Yoink!- detection for 3 weeks now.
I am giving this game one more month to improve before I say byb bye.

I really don’t have too many lag issues. Yes, every now and then I’ll get a bad game where I lag some or have a single player in the match lagging (the latter happens a lot more often than the former), but it isn’t game ruining for me.
Get better internet service. Yours obviously sucks.
simply you have sucky internet and so do other people… I haven’t been experiencing that much lag
It’s not the overall servers.
I rarely have lag.
Are you sure you are doing everything possible to have a good connection?
Are you using wired vs wireless?
I’d research how to optimize the xbox live internet settings, because it seems that something is wrong with your connection if you are continuously having trouble.
Dominion is broken. I keep getting the odd game when only a handful of people on one team spawn. So whilst everyone else is waiting, a few are playing and actually dominating the map.
I agree. I get lag all the time and 99/100 times its not because if my connection. That’s the only problem with this game and 343 needs to fix it soon.

Same except for some of my Spartan Ops (but that’s to be expected. It’s co-op and I’ve got a small-town ISP.) I think that this is either a very complicated issue where there isn’t a universal explanation for why their games suck (so they just blame it all on Halo 4, which is a hell of a lot easier than becoming an amateur network engineer) or they’re just picking nits in hopes that one of them provides a satisfying explanation for why they’re not having fun (besides that multiplayer addiction isn’t generally a happy thing.)
I don’t get this talk of unplayable lag, ive had very little lag issues since launch. I’ve been matched up with the occasional blatant lag switching cheats, but nothing major server based.
This is not me defending the game blah blah, I’m just confused about all the talk of bad lag.
My internet connection doesn’t come from Wallmart and my modem isn’t made by Fisher Price, thus I don’t experience any lag (so long as the host doesn’t have a crappy internet connection I’ll always be fine).
Where do you live OP and what’s your ISP and down/up speeds?
It was lagging for me too yesterday…then I reset my internet modem…lag free now.
I was fine the first few weeks, but I’m getting it bad now. The game is almost unplayable for me at the moment.
I keep dying when I shouldn’t, whereas other people I’ve encountered with lag just skip and jump around the map, avoiding all shots fired and invariably getting kills they shouldn’t. It’s a load of crap. Everything’s in check regarding my connection as far as I know.
Just came on to the forums to see if anyone else is having this problem. I have been booted out of 5 spartan ops games in a row, I was lagging so bad I could not even get 5 kills.
My internet can easily support the 4 computers and my Xbox, but when I play Halo 4 it is just unplayable. All the computers have perfect connection while I’m lagging away on halo. Maybe if they had regional filters and better servers this would not be a problem.
Edit: I currently cannot get halo to even recognize that I am connected to Xbox live unless I dashboard.
I live in the country with one of the worst internet connections in the world and I don’t even experience lag that much. This is actually the best connection in Halo that I have had.
When I lag super bad I always check the carnage report after the match.And view player profiles. There’s always players from either, Mexico, Japan, Canada, Colombia, Italy, and England. Not that I have ANY issues with any of those places. The game just needs a regional filter.
I hardly ever have lag.
stop using 1mb and use 3mb
