I hope the competitiveness gets a serious tone down for Halo 6 and Esports Halo falls off the face of the planet, or at least isn’t the main focus of 6, overall I like Halo 5’s weapon styles, crazy, unpredictable variants along with the classic weapons we grew up with. As for the Arena, I’d like to see better map design, better spawn placement, and the removal of any and ALL items that MARK a weapons location, no Weapon Pads, no Ordanace drops, just regular weapon placement like a HALO game should be.

But in all seriousness, aside from Luke the Notable, there are tons of Halo YouTubers who show how they play, or who you can observe to get better. If nothing else; play Firefight. Lots and lots of Firefight.

One of the few things I liked about Halo 5 was the pace, if you think Halo 5 is fast, you should try Titanfall 2 or Doom. If anything, I want Halo 6 even faster, but I’d settle for the current speed again.

might be because i was playing late and i was feeling tired or its because i dont play halo 5 alot and im trying to adapt to peoples skills maybe i feel better in other game modes i was trying to play both super fiesta and shotty snipers i was rubbish at both of them and im level 38 probably would be alot higher but again just havent being playing halo 5 alot because i dont know the maps dont feel unique which kinda puts me off them and im talking about the arena maps
Halo 5 is certainly a different animal from past Halos, but I think it has the best pace. All the other Halos (excluding 4) feel so sluggish now, Halo 5 meets the right balance of old and new. It takes time and a certain amount of skill to kill someone, but it doesn’t take me forever to get around the map.
If it goes any faster, we would be reaching Halo 4/CoD levels, which is not how Halo should be.
And I hope every future Halo game is fast paced af from now on.

Correction: 343 likes to give Halo 5 the illusion that it is competitive by putting a lot of emphasis on esports but in reality Halo 5 is a joke on a competitive level. Radar? A sniper that practically aims itself? Autos with faster kill times than precision weapons? Splinter nades? Don’t make me laugh. Halo 5 is trash as a competitive shooter, especially for a Halo game. The most competitive Halo game released was released back in 2001.

The faster ttk on autos isn’t an issue, it’s the range on them and how easy they are to use that is the issue mixed along with the high damage. I agree with everything else tho, h5 isn’t a hard game, especially compared to past iterations.
Go play a single player custom game, and learn the maps some.
Take about 5mins on each map, and think “where would people camp, and have good lines of fire”
every map has different levels, so height advantage is big this time.
This is also typed on a tablet. And yes the game is too fast, doesn’t feel like Halo. Halo 4 was better than Halo 5 as far as feeling like Halo.
