So last night I was playing Halo 4 and I just got so agnry/upset at the multiplayer. I’m not going to go any specifics but lets just say I was having a bad time. I decided that instead of going to sleep (keep in mind that this was at like 3 in the morning) I wanted see what the Halo 3 matchmaking was like nowadays. At that time there was only 2,700 or so players online and I couldn’t find anyone playing my old favorite playlist (Team Mythic) I ended up falling back too Social Slayer which had the most players and told myself I would play 3 matches and then go to sleep. I played a game on Valhalla and the map seemed so bland and boring compared to its Halo 4 counterpart. It was a bit smaller and there was only 1 Banshee and 1 Warthog per base so there was less vehicle combat and more emphasis on gunplay. I did really well every game I played because Halo 3 used to come so natural to me. By the end my anger had turned to sadness. I have so many good memories of this game like the old bungie.net community stuff. Bungie favorites and double xp weekends. The whole “Can I haz Recon” days. Anyway am I the only one who misses these days? Not to mention all the fun custom games people would make and actually play.
No, your not the only one… because of the missing Custom Games Physics, Objects and gametypes i came back on H3 today. And i became really nostalguc. I just love H3, for me it was close to perfect.
For me it was perfection. When I play Halo 4, then go onto Halo 3 it feels like a HUGE step up.

Same here. When all bullets register, that game is perfection.
Fired up Halo 3 today to, was shocked how few people play it.
I love the game to death and had a lot of fun playing on my favorite maps.
The only thing I missed from Halo 4 was the… Uh nothing!
Playing Halo 3 makes me think I’m playing an Improved version of H:Reach and H:4.
Whilst it should be the other way around but its not!
They should make Halo 3 with Halo Reach its forge world(H4 forge sucks)
Oh and I do not hate Halo 4(personal rating 7 out of 10) but Halo 3 is much better 
I actually played Halo 3 a few days ago. Just Campaign, but it was still awesome. Every time I play Halo 3, every time, something happens to me that is memorable. Whether it was me going HOLY CRAP LOOK AT THAT or laughing so damn hard it hurts, every time, something memorable happens.
I love Halo 4, but Halo 3 will always hold a special place in my heart.
Played Halo 3 today and it wasn’t fun more like really boring.
Halo 4 has an amazing story line and multi player, but of all the Halos, 3 gives me the most nostalgia, and a great feeling, it is probably by far the best halo game to date.

I think we all just miss bungie Era Halo, I miss the community and this community is not the same because 3 of every 4 posts are people complaining about somthing.
I just realize how good we had it that time. The physics, the maps… it IS awesome. I hope more people are going to return to halo 3 :).
It’s weird because when reach was out people never went back to 3 alot but not when halo 4 came out I hear tons of people going back to halo 3. HAHA the plan is in motion…we will have the halo we want back!
