If we play statistics here I guess 75% of 100k viewers will go back, to claim the drop, 50% of that will then play for a minute then go back to other games, that last little bit will stay a little longer then slowly wain off.

And this is the total number of people watching, not the 100k people watching at the same time.
If there are so many people watching at the same time, it will be a big news.
According to Microsoft’s financial report, 20 million players have played this game , and I don’t know what to boast about the total number of views of 100,000.
If this were a buy-out xboxone-only game, we could brag about it, but this is an Platform-wide Esports FTB game,so the numbers aren’t even worth mentioning

They’d still be bragging about it if numbers were still way high.

Exactly, my response was.in terms.of.your comment where you said something about the next update should bring more people back…

It didn’t age well but I mean in your defense they did hype it up as of it was going to be something large.

Yea they really have failed as a.love service. But I have a theory, before the 1 year delay and before the launch I don’t honestly think Halo Infinite was set to be a true love service free to ay style game.

I’m thinking that choice got made mid creation and than they struggled to put it together as a Live service.

That seems to be my only logical reason as to why they would use a UI that is not Live service friendly. Like of the game breaks of the change something with the UI, or it won’t allow them to add the option to buy things one by one within the existing bundles.

Than something’s up you know, why would they purposely design a UI that’s not directly Love service friendly.

Hell even Anthem was able to change things in their UI with more ease.

a Love service you say?

There is a massive difference between new Xbox owners or new comers to the franchise downloading the game to try it out and those who keep coming back for more. It’s all about retention rate. As more new Xbox’s become available in stores we’ll continue to see new players that will skew the numbers.

oh no not people playing other games

are you married to halo or smth

Are you? Player retentions important to keeping a game alive, but 343 obviously doesn’t care about that.

the fact is Halo Infinite is not a celebration of Halo in the greatest way it should be. It’s an embarrassing example of it’s former self

Player retention is probably one of the most important variables for game developers. It’s a quite unbiased metric to determine how successful and enjoyable a game is compared to other games and the more enjoyable will remain to be played by the masses and the less enjoyable game will fall into obscurity and only be played by a small niche.

this aint a fact but an opinion

The irony of this is it’s not wrong. BF2042 last I saw it was around 2k and not that long ago Halo Infinite was struggling at just barely over 4k and is now officially under 4k…at this rate it feels more like a matter of time till it goes from 3k to 2k plus already seeing it drop every time TA posts a Xbox player count population for top games. What’s weird is EA blaming Halo Infinite for BF2042 mess and yet the irony is Infinite is actually not doing that much better. I don’t really see many people asking to play this anymore and I doubt many people will be playing it in a couple of months.

Yeah… i was mean… sorry… this game drives me crazy sometimes but its all love, we all halo freaks playing the same game. Peace

That’s monthly unique logins. I bet steam has similar amount of monthly unique logins. That’s why you can’t compare the numbers of the top played xbox games to steam charts. However, they are probably very similar in the amount of current players, peak current players, and average current players.

Also to add to this, the list you looked at is the Xbox live platform. It’s all players signed into Xbox live playing that game. So it doesn’t differentiate console or pc.

The halo infinite position on that list would actually include all on gamepass pc and steam and console combined. as in order to play the game you must be signed in to an Xbox account.

I would argue infinite isn’t like halo either and suffers from a similar issue as BF2042 in that regard.

Being closer to halo than halo 5 doesn’t automatically make it good enough as a halo game.

You are absolutely correct but the sequel question is will the developer come to the right conclusions on why their player base melted away.

I don’t think they have once in their prior 3 releases so I doubt 4th time will be the charm.

They frankly don’t deserve another chance anyway.

This doesnt contribute anything to the conversation. You’ve drawn your own conclusion and are now spreading toxicity. Theres enough keyboard warriors. No need to try and insult the OP.
