This game is gonne be at 2042 numbers in 2 weeks

Untrue, because 343 has the Tact Slayer event lined up, as well as the last Tenrai Week. These will bring players back, at least for awhile.

Do I agree with this method of forcing players to return? Hell no, I think the only thing that should keep players coming back is solid gameplay, replayability, and content updates.

At the very bloody least, 343 intends to fix the solid gameplay part by Feb, so Season 2 can be experienced without hiccups. But it’s not enough 343… it just isn’t. Just give us 2 or 3 new maps to play with, or add a new playlist called Mid Team Battle or some crap which pits 8 v 8 on Behemoth or Launchsite, cos those maps are too big for 4v4.

Not really a sign for investment in the actual competitive side if theres the promise of chocolate for watching said item, they’re there for the chocolate, not the tournament, once they have that they’ll probably leave and go play, in otherwords they’d have twitch up but wouldn’t be outright watching, though this is me guessing at the motivation of 100,000 viewers.

thats if we down account for those that don’t care about the competitive side of things, so its not a good metric to determine a game’s health, not when they’re there for what amounts to party bags with contents you can take home and play with.

Tales of Arise? though thats a JRPG so that doesn’t even come close to relevancy on the matter, it is pretty good though.

agreed on what you’ve mentioned however.

Witch Queen also, roughly in the same week.

Top 10 on a platform and o.s. owned by the parent company that doesn’t release actual live player numbers. K. It’s no secret that every capitalist company in existence will fudge around numbers where possible to draw people in to their new “hit” game. Especially numbers not viewable to the general public. Not saying it’s a complete dud but I don’t buy for a second anything ms or 343 has to say about daily averages until a tracker exists showing all platforms in real time. Why a game from 15 years ago (halo 3) included a population tracker and a current modern day title doesn’t is beyond me but then again so are a lot of the things 343 has done over the years

The longest que I’ve had was at 2am and it was like 30 seconds and I’m queuing top 1% of players.

It wasn’t Microsoft who released the numbers it was a 3rd party.

yep

take home and play with in the game

lmao

you guys are jokers

So you’re equating numbers as success without accounting for the potential differing contexts of the viewer? the reason for being there?

Fair enough, even if thats a flawed way of measuring stability, you do you.

I just think it’s funny that y’all think the reason matters. They are all LITERALLY getting drops for a game they PLAY. Gods…

Where did you get the official Xbone population numbers?

Do people watch football cause they play it?

I get what hes saying. 100k people watching the stream for the drops, means 100k people are active enough in the game that they would want this content.

But that doesnt mean those 100k people think the game is perfect with no flaws.

I like the game, i have fun most of the time and with everything in life you will have times where it is just disappointing and i just alt f4. The game has major flaws which people rightfully complain about, but for me i enjoy the game already, so when these problems get fixed the experience will just get better.

It is the ONLY place with actual almost live number counts, its also a big enough pool it can show trends on whats happening across the board.

The point is, viewer counts don’t mean anything.

So what did you think about the big mid February update.

Because everything costs money in infinite unfortunately.
Maybe someday infinite will rebound.
Depressing.
The true test is to see how many tune into an event WITHOUT free drops.
Sigh. Still salty about watchdog. Sorry.

I’m glad they’re addressing it but they have been extremely slow in their updates. We need more content along side them fixing issues. All we’ve had so far is sub par events and patches fixing problems.

343 needs to step it up, it’s a live service game, right?

95k of them were actually watching for the lols when direct hits with the rocket don’t kill your opponent.

In a tournament.

On a LAN.

LOL :joy::joy::joy:
