Which is also what happened with previous titles, adding in stuff previous titles had, and the people who get excited usually don’t realise it was content that was cut/taken out when it should have been there from day 1 - only exception to that was the Warzone FF stuff in Halo 5 really

2042 was surpassed by BF5 and BF1 pop lol, and Infinite is on its way to being surpassed by MCC.

Oh it’s far worse with Halo Infinite.
The amount of starting armor we got that we could unl21ock sucks. Most of it was tied behind a paywall content.
Now let’s look at default colors. So we lost custom color choice so they could drop the coating system on us. Basically they wanted to monetize colors.
They stated all paid content is premium content, so back to default colors, in Halo 5 we had 60 default shades.but when players booted up Halo infinite 344 gave us 10. Now perhaps the other 50 we have to unlock through gameplay…
Well no 343 decided to just put the other 50 shades of generic default colors behind the premium content paywall.
They basically took generic things that were once free and put them behind a paywall to fill out their content. I really don’t see any other logically reason for a company to require players to have to pay with real money to receive generic color options.
The whole coating system was sold to us as this amazing customizable colors and pattern designs we never seen on Halo… But scarlet wake red is just basic red… We saw it before. I think it’s like the third red down in Halo 5. And it wasn’t even a cool pattern with it. It was just cadet red but in a different shade.
So Yea 343 is taking the bare minimum content and stripping it away to put it in the store as content or bring it in later as added content
Let’s be clear Co Op and Forge should not be considered content drops in new seasons. That’s just late assignments.
343 really didn’t understand how to run a live service game. Right now the only live service we are getting is updated foxes for issues.
It’s basically Halo Infinite bug fixes

Including me lol, for the first time in 20 years, I tried something other than halo, after being stabbed in the back on the Watchdog coating. It’s a fun game though, takes getting used to, but fun!

Twitch viewer numbers are even worse to use for seeing if a games “alive”, I’ve watched warframe streams for drops and I don’t even play it anymore, or when I watched them. Steams at least show actual players, not viewers.

You do know that there was recent information released that about a week ago the current population for xbox was around 2.5 million unique users daily. Compare the games on the top 10 for xbox and their populations. Infinite is #7 currently and will most likely be staying top 10 for a while. Especially if the new updates next week actually hold weight.
The game is far from dying.

Player retention is actually fairly good on xbox, if there was only 100k unique users daily on Infinite, it wouldn’t be close to top 10 played on xbox.

I log in everyday. Doesn’t mean the game isn’t dead. A dead game to me isn’t a low population game. A dead game to me is a unplayable game. If me and my friends aren’t on every night spending hours on the game like we did in halo 5 then it’s a dead game for sure

Yeh I saw the numbers and the weird part is EA are now blaming Infinite for the low numbers despite Halo Infinite and BF2042 failing with very close numbers.
Anecdotal, just because YOU don’t doesn’t mean everyone else isn’t. If the game was unplayable, people wouldn’t be logging in.
Haven’t you seen the other posts talking about their group of friends and how they can’t sit down for hours like the past? It isn’t just me. Loads of people are saying the same thing. Loads of people are experiencing the same thing. It’s not secret that Halo infinite is the least content rich halo to date. To say it’s NOT dying because of it is an understatement
I’m not disagreeing that there is a lack of content but a game that is top 10 since release, isn’t dying.
Top ten among other horrible games. Battlefield is bad. Cod is bad.

There used to be the one “game” that everyone played. And it used to be Halo. But it’s not like that anymore.
Is it literally dead? No. But it’s in a bad shape for sure. And I don’t want it to be. I don’t wish for the game to die

I only played the multiplayer for maybe 2 days in a row, i got game pass to try out the campaign and it kept crashing every time I tried it so I gave up on that as well. Guess I should uninstall it so I can have some more space in my drives.
um there’s games on steam i could play on a car battery with a keyboard hooked to it
