So Halo 5 is exactly like Halo 4… wtf. Not only does the gameplay look and feel like H4, but the menus and armor look EXACTLY like H4. It literally looks like 343 took Halo 4, upped the graphic fidelity, and put a different background on the main menu. THAT"S IT! The music is pretty basic too. Nothing special…
Oh yeah, and could you give Destiny back their team previews before the match? Like is it just me who sees this?

I really wasn’t a huge fan of Halo 4. I liked the campaign, but the MP wasn’t what I wanted or expected from a Halo game. I love this Beta so far. Its not the same as Halo 2 or 3, which are my favorites, bit its good in its own ways. I would still like to see a Halo game where it is simplified like Halo 2 and 3, but I doubt it will happen.
Wtf is with the random audio phrases coming from players in matchmaking like “grenade incoming” and “just picked up a dmr” is there an option to turn that -Yoink- off?

Well, maybe. H5 is far to CE, H2 H3 but is my opinion. Tested you the beta?

Got to wait for the open beta like all the other peasants not in the preview program.

Well, it depends on what you look at for being close to the original games.
Graphically? Of course not?
Mechanically? There are differences, of course, just like Halo 2 and 3.
Sandbox-wise? Things will be different, just like 2 and 3.
The biggest thing is the competitive scene. The focus. The flow, how it works. Halo: Reach and 4 deviated from the originals by focusing less on teamwork and map control, giving you new gadgets and personal acknowledgements instead.
Halo 5, on the other hand, is potentially the most competitive Halo we’ve had. A focus on mobility to increase the skill gap and increase the pace. Balanced starts. Ranking. Some may say that the Spartan callouts are a bit unneeded, but it’s a sign of focusing on coordination and teamwork. Map control.
In that sense, Halo 5 is very much like the originals.

Completely agree, I have seen nothing that doesn’t remind me of Halo 4. I’m not really hyped for the beta but willing to give it a try when it goes live but so far not impressed.

Im talk about gameplay. Repeat is only my opinion and i know not everybody tested the game but i cant feel Halo with sprint, is another thing for me and ruin my experience.
What about H2 and H3? There is NOTHING separating them, except graphical fidelity and equipment.
H5 is a huge step forward and the gameplay is much more fun, than H4 and plays very differently.
OP clearly hasn’t even touched the game.
I don’t think it’s going to fail AT ALL. It’s exactly what Halo needs to become, a new and evolved true competitive multiplayer experience and it’s still Halo, there’s no doubt about it. But there are a few things that need to be addressed before people will accept it as such.
One thing is the freaking aim assist. I’ve watched countless replays of me being killed when the opponents reticle was nowhere near my body when using a precision weapon, that won’t be accepted by most true competitive players. It has to go.
There’s also a couple of other things that need changing, like the long load times and matchmaking problems, but they still have about a year to fix those. I’m having a blast playing it and it feels fresh, for the moment. The sword lunge in combination with the boost also may need some gimping as it reminds of the classic Halo 2 sword flying.
I’d rather have them fix MCC because that’s a serious problem right now. I can’t even resume my Legendary Halo 2 playlist.
