Halo 2, 3, and even reach are my main games! I have tons of memories playing these 3 games with friends.
But when I play Halo 4… I’m just totally bored :/. It just seems like a big mess of weapons. Theres nobody holding any locations and waiting for it to spawn or anything. Theres no custom games going on due to the lack of options. And The maps (theyre good), but for some reason I personally don’t like a lot of them. 
And theres no gametypes! Like DMRS or BRS. Its just whatever our loadout is.
I’m just VERY VERY bored.
Halo 4 is dying like Halo Reach. No ranking system instantly killed it. I want a challenge, i want a 690-690 game, but unfortunately all i get in halo 4 is either a smashing victory or my butt absolutely handled. My freinds and I are already talking of black ops 2. Sad day when a cod game can hold my attention longer than a halo game.
I think it is due to the lack of variety along with a some of the things we usually have at start not being in as of yet (or never will be). I feel like without the File Share system I am kinda playing Beta-mode with Campaign and Spartan Ops being included. The reason I say that is due to lack of custom games and not being able to look up maps to play on/get inspiration from.
And not to bash the maps, and I know a lot of previous maps have this quality, but does anyone else feel that a lot of the maps are “a bunch of rocks with stuff in them”?
Agree. I dont like 343i’s Halo. Hope Blizzard’s project Titan will be the next big thing since all the shooters are practically the same now.

Why do this again? In the previous games you could time the power weapons.
It definitely is getting boring. The missing rank system, the maps having poor lanes set up - but I guess that doesn’t matter since map control is no longer a thing. It’s just sad because I wanted Halo to last. I would love to be proved wrong but I feel that this game’s community will die in a couple of months.
It’s a new game. We just need to break it in. Heck, there’ll even be updates. Eventually, it’ll get more fun.
Sort of got confused around the point when you said that Reach is dead since I still play it as much as ever and there are always people in there playing it when I look.

I agree OP it is a tad boring. Just run and gun every map. No sense of team work. Very little sense of objective and direction.

Haven’t seen me post to many things then have you -Yoink-? Not much point in posting something “Constructive” whatever that my be if someones already made up their ignorant mind about a game thats only a week old and has nothing wrong with it.
If you don’t like the game trade it in, throw it away, give it to someone smart. All you’re going to do is fill up these forums and gamechat with complaining and none constructive posts, like this one for instance.
You can stop playing too, no one will miss you either I promise.
