idk if this game will stay alive by the time Firefight comes out, or if my interest will last that long, the game punishes you for being a solo player. And don’t tell me, “Oh this is a team focused game” well so is TEAM fortress 2, and I can play that perfectly fine by myself.

Team Fortress is a casual game. Like Battlefront. less team focused.
There are team oriented FPS games like Halo and Rainbow Six.
I assume you just play free for all then? If not, its very easy to find people to play with, especially when you are active on waypoint.
Comparing a role based fps to a normal fps isn’t a good idea, halo is set loadouts with set abilities

Why do I have to gather a group to enjoy the game? I love playing with people but don’t always feel like it. Should I suffer because I want to play by myself?
No where on the box or game description does it say, “must play with party of (__)”
In my experience so far solo has been tolerable, but it could be better. Much better. The only problem is I am expected to make callouts and the like, but I am just not the type of person that talks a lot or likes to talk a lot.

No, they don’t owe you anything back. Ever heard “buyer beware” or consumer responsibility? You chose to spend the money, so you have to deal with the consequences of YOUR decision. No one owes you anything my friend.
Fine, “don’t play” isn’t good enough for you. So what do you want us to do OP? Do you want everyone to stop playing in fireteams? Do you want us to make you a whole new game?

No, but others shouldn’t have to change to fit your play style either.

Fair play, my bad.
But still, you don’t have to be in a group to enjoy/play the game. Its no ones fault that you don’t enjoy the game when you chose to play by yourself. Personally, I enjoy the game very much when I play solo

Team Fortress might be a casual game, but like he said, it doesn’t penalize any one who plays solo. Arguably the most competitive and team focused FPS on the market, CS:GO, doesn’t penalize solo players.

Team fortress may be more casual but saying it doesn’t require skill is just impossible. And many people can say console games are casual, I don’t agree but it can be said. and TF2 has a competitive ranked side doesn’t it?
