Two rounds of applause…

Not even lazy, just cheap. Contracting work rather than just hiring someone? Scum of the earth Microsoft and 343 is…

It’s like getting fresh med students to do brain surgery everyday. These people have to learn the outdated engine and build off of other people’s half *** work, and when they finally get the hang of it they’re kicked out. It’s a bit ridiculous. I don’t see how anything can be done like that…

It is indeed amazing on multiple fronts. It’s amazing that after 6 years, this is how far you can stop short. That even though you have 6 other games before, with multiple ways that have been shown to work, and be successful, with profit, and you still decided to go in another direction because you saw fortnite do it.

Personally, I wish the original Bungie was still making Halo. At least we might of had a decent Halo worth playing.

Creating a game around a BP/Shop was one of the dumbest thing I have seen 343 do to Halo. I was kinda hoping it was going to be decent, but 343 higher-ups don’t care, and if they don’t care why should we care about anything they say given the fact of what actions have taken place.

Their greed ruined Halo.

best part is the multiplayer lead left 343, its either the best thing that could happen or the worst. personally i think MS executives decided heads needed to roll with how this game is being handled and since MP has been a right mess since official launch they decide it would be him

I feel bad for the new players that will likely check the game out because of the TV show coming out this month. They have no idea what kind of cluster they’re in store for.

This piece is accurate assuming the developers aren’t familiar with making a game engine. Game engines are monsters with respect to design and implementation . I’d expect you’d want several experienced senior software engineers to lead the design process and oversee implementation. Given 9 of the 11 openings in 343’s Engineering division are “Senior <Job Title>” I’d hazard they probably didn’t do this.

This comment is incredibly ignorant. Contractors are common in the gaming industry (hell, common in every industry). This does not mean contractors are less qualified than regular employees, nor does it mean the final product will be low quality. There are several reasons a company will work with contractors, and those reasons can be very good. Pretty much every modern game you play has been worked on by contractors, and it’s not a bad thing. Infinite is no different.

I clicked on this thread with a grimace, a red face, and a forehead vein. That quickly changed to a cheeky grin.

Well played OP

You said that buzz word. Modern gaming. Just because everyone is jumping off a bridge (cyberpunk, cod, battlefield, etc) doesn’t mean halo has to do the same.

If you think 6 month contract workers over 6 years can make the same game dedicated workers can in 6, you’re dreamingggggg and honestly I would re-quote you:

Came back for threads like this lol
Heard they delayed co-op?
My buddy is planning on deleting the game without even finishing the campaign.
I had more fun with that recent Alien game than this.

they are going to get a rude awakening when they find out the story has nothing in common with the games, the only similarity is that chief, Cortana, and Halsey are in them. and that no human has ever helped the covenant
