I have left the game 4 years ago due the heavy aim issue, no hitmark registration, ghost bullets, etc…
This is the generation’s end, so I have returned to xbox. What a disappointment! Nothing has changed at all. I have matched with Australian and Canadian players in FOCUSED matchmaking. (I am at central europe).
Everybody was fustrated, even those who played this game in the past years. Due the terrible matchmaking in halo 5 (not to mention the MCC’s terrible start) I do not have any faith in Infinite. The gameplay was a disappointment in graphical side but man… It will be half open world. How will 343 handle the matchmaking for that? 4v4 is full of lag and heavy aim. Halo is the only one franchise for me on xbox. At the end, I am thankful that I do not have to give money for the series s/x. I will wait for the release of Infinite and based on reviews and friends opinions, I will consider to buy an S.
Until that, bye bye xbox. Thatnk you, halo to make this decision sooo much easier.
Yeah agree for the most part, the game is trash in too many areas. Take Arena team slayer for example. I search solo and frequently get like 20 kills to 3 deaths for example. I carry my team and almost every game I have a team mate that does the opposite and makes us lose the game. I do well yet I’m penalised in rank due to team mates. Unfair and the worst ranking system in Halo history.
It should be based on your own individual performance as this would make a better gaming experience for players like me.
Sure, MAYBE the ranked slayer and quick play have matching worse than The Last Jedi, but have you ever considered great game modes like super fiesta party, big team battle, big team super fiesta, infection, custom games, Warzone, Warzone Firefight, and more! Sure, the campaign is more dull than a 1945 photo, but 343 has made it obvious that the would rather make halos multiplayer stand out more than its STORY. A bold move, but one we’ll have to deal with. And if you hate quick play so much, take a break from it! That’s what I do whenever I get burned out of a playlist because of a losing streak, it’s getting boring, etc. but you gotta have faith in 343, the just started off with halo 4. How do you expect them to live up to Bungie’s legacy in 1-2 games? It’s much harder than you would think, and they’re trying their hardest to constantly make changes to MCC, Halo 5, AND infinite, whilst making those changes things that everyone will enjoy, not just a small group of players. Give them some slack. Anyway, if all else fails, then you can even try your hand at making your own custom Game/forge world/map!

Partly agreed. I can play very well if I play alone. Who wants to play alone a competitive game??? Some of my friends are champs. I do not know the reason but if we play together, 9 out of 10 matched are unplayable. Laggy, heavy aim, ghost bullets. And wgat if it runs smooth? We have a team (1 champ, 3 platinums or at least 2 platinums) with normal players and we vot matched against 3 champs and we can not even spawn. This game is a joke. 3 matches are playable out of 20. Nice ratio. And it was the case at the beginning too. What was 343 did in the past 5 years? Because not infinite, thats for sure.

i play only ranked. I had a 4 years brake. I have burnt out again in 2 weeks with halo. I was playing this frenchise since halo ce. That was my first multiplayer game. I have thousands and thousands hours in halos. But since 343 has it, it is a disaster.
Vtw: I have tried to play big team but 343 nerfed the BR to the ground and it is not fun playing with it. The BR… Halo’s most iconic weapon.
And I did not mentioned that if I won 6 matches in a row, I gain a rank and when I lose 1 game, I lose almost a whole rank. Why? How? I have to sweat blood for a rank and when I lose just 1 game (due the crappy matchmaking system) all my day’s progression is done.
Anyway… My point is. If that game is 5 years old and 343 was unable to make it playable. What will be the case of the Infinite? Halo 5 is over I know. But due Halo 5 and mcc, I do not have any thrust in 343. That team sucks badly. I dont know why. Hell I do not want to know why. I just want to have fun with halo. But I cant.
Welcome back to halo 5. The game we love to play, but feels like we’re playing a game we hate at the same time.
I think the problem is that there’s no servers out of US, not even for Halo MCC and people who want to play the games out of that country have a lot of lag, and yes i’m agree, it’s pretty annoying.
This is like the rant of a man-child. I’m pretty sure that 343 is trying to appease the fans, but a lot of the original players (people who played halo when it first came out and such) are too unwilling to try and find the good things that 343 is trying to do for halo. I rarely experience these problems that op listed, though it is probably because I live in the US.
You might have better luck with MCC PC edition. The population for halo 5 is pretty small outside the US. I’m surprised 343 hasnt taken the focus search option off the menu entirely. And with halo infinite taking 5+ years thus far. It’s hard to imagine the franchise ever returning to the relevance it once had.
