It cant be ignored. there needs to be some MENTION of these problems of major lag/major latency among other things in the bulletin tommorow.
Am i the only person having these issues? like seriously? I KNOW im landing headshots. they arent iffy headshots caused by magnetism, they are dead on, and register as body shots or miss. Sniper shots that are dead on miss sometimes. about 10% of the time i have none of these problems and i do much much better, (hence, its not a skill issue. otherwise i wouldnt be doing good without lag either way…) but something is seriously wrong…
I get maybe 1 in 15-25 games where the issues start getting on my nerves. But after Black Ops 2 for 2 hours straight yesterday (to prove that it’s exactly the same game that’s been released the last 5 years that people pay full retail for) I have a new found appreciation for halo 4.
Sure there are a few issues, but nothing like black ops 2. The lag and server issues in that game are nerve-wrecking.
i can play halo reach and go 25 and 4 or something with absolutely NO lag, but in 4, i keep “missing” headshots and stuff.
And i play some very chaotic PC games. 64 player BF3? no lag.
I have to believe something is wrong. Even if its not lagging i have major latency issues in almost every match.
They seem to have gotten worse lately. I have some latency issues (confirmed by other teammates, so it’s not just) roughly every third match now.
Last night, though, things took a turn for the worse. My friend and I were playing some Spartan Ops and then some Infinity Slayer, and we weren’t getting any experience for either. I think I lost a few double exp matches to that, which is a shame. Then, after I logged on today, all of my load outs had been completely erased. Quite annoying.
And the latency issues have persisted through today.

You’re definitely not the only one experiencing the LAG problems. It seemed like the first week was pretty nice, but then the LAG came and has never gone away since. The majority of my games are extremely “LAGGY” and it’s not my Internet. Of the systems I use the most, which are the PS3 and the 360, I’ve never had major LAG issues with games other than Halo games. The only games I have ever owned with continuous LAG issues have been titles with the HALO name in them and when it comes to Halo multiplayer matchmaking connection/great HOST means EVERYTHING.
You’re not alone. Watching players ice skate and moon walk across the map gets old real fast. Every other game seems to be a lag fest. The ones that continuously go in and out of black screen as if it’s selecting a new host just to go on with terrible lag are even more annoying. The game is becoming unplayable at times.
Spartan Ops online is really bad right now. It takes a couple tries to get in a match without lag. War Games has been good for me though. I feel like Xbox Live in general is getting bogged down with H4 and BO2 in full swing. I can never stay connected for long in between games.
