That’s the trend now, pay for an incomplete game with no promise of a deadline for completion.
I play halo infinite on a 1ms response 120hz gaming monitor with g-sync on my series x. So my choices are either 1080p 120 FPS (what I use) or 4kUHD 60FPS. In halo 5, I’m running 4kUHD 60fps and the gameplay feels so much better than on Infinite’s 120 hz. When I’ve tried infinite at 60 hz, I don’t even wanna play it, had to come back to 120.
Halo 5 somehow plays significantly better. The strafing, the way the controls feel. I know I’ve seen many threads complaining about the same thing in infinite, the combination of near 0 inertia when strafing, low AA, and overall “aim feel,” makes this game play the worst out of any halo I’ve played.
For the record I barely played h5’s pvp cause I wasn’t a fan of the thrusters, it isn’t Halo. So even the halo I disliked the most feels better than infinite.
6 years is the amount of time between the release of Halo 2 and Halo Reach. Meaning that Halo 2, Halo 3, ODST and Reach were all released in the same amount of time it took to develop Halo Infinite. And each one of those added additional features instead of taking them away or launching without them
Do you work for CNN?
“Sure the game is unfinished and nickle & diming you, but thats a good thing!”
60-70$ for a 3rd of the content Halo used to launch with.
I would say 2/3’s
Multiplayer is free, but it’s still part of the package.
but the multiplayer is screwed as well which is why im saying 1/3rd. because the MP is missing most of the features of previous titles.
THIS
IS
CNN
no it sucks.
Obviously I’m not happy.
I’m trying any justification to play lol
Does anyone know if theater works with campaign. I was gonna check but I forgot to and now I’m too far away from an Xbox to check.
Thank you.
Welcome to modern gaming. It’s really spelled: barren wasteland.
its most likely that slipspace game engine they made
i’m 90% sure the game engine runs at 30 fps or thats at least what it feels like
Well, no. 60$ for a barebones copy-pasted open world experience with no co-op, less environments, vehicles, guns, and enemies than any previous Halo title other than Halo title other than CE, as well as no forge mode, or even replayable missions.
It is quite literally 1/3rd of the content you would get out of a past Halo game, and the quality of that content is pretty low imo.
Welcome to Halo Lite!

Bruh, replying a month later and reviving this post was entirely unnecessary
Disappointed with BTB not properly working along with the fact there is only Three maps that are in the playlist when two other maps IMO would work, those being Launch and can’t think of the name but the outside dessert themed map with the bridge. Yes they are a little smaller compared to the three we play now but BTB is all about chaos and fun and I think games would play quickly on those maps. Also the two I mentioned could be used for Slayer and one side CTF
Game Development is more of an Experiment now.
And, it felt like the only changes from the actual Early Access (Flights) was the Battle Pass costing money and the Shop.
And yet it’s just as relevant now as it was then. Definitely still deserves the “Beta” title it used to have, especially when BTB doesn’t work when it did before launch. Really starting to think that 343’s games need a couple years breathing room before you start them if you want your initial experience to be a polished one.
Yah imagine saying reviving this post is useless when the issues are still present and we haven’t been given anything substantial since release. Agree Matt, I’m glad I only dropped that initial $1 for Game Pass to sample the campaign since they do not deserve a dime more from me. In my opinion we don’t need to wait, we just need a new developer or perhaps it really is just over.
