My other post got locked for being too discrete, but this is cleaned up and non-aggressive. This is constructive criticism, and is aimed at contributing towards a better follow-up.
Campaign was pretty nice, gotta give them that. They didnt do as well with multiplayer though. I havent played reach, so these comparisons are from halo 3.
Before anyone says anything about ‘oh, you just suck’, Im at +2.0 k/d spread. this multiplayer was a let-down, and could have been waaaaaaay better.
First of all, the fact that when you’re in lobby, you dont get teamed up til after the map is chosen is pretty pointless and weak. I dont get a chance to see my team’s stats (or the other team), cause by the time I know whos on my team, the countdown is already going down and it fades out. please tell me the point of teaming up after the map is chosen? it doesn’t make sense to me, and that was not rhetorical. I just wanna know why they changed that.
Recoil is not right. why doesnt it slowly recover? when you get hit with the sniper, recoil is not only insane, but theres no recovery. it leaves you facing up, and thats a problem. i shouldnt have to totally re-adjust my scope just because i get hit. recoil is fine if it’s done right. Halo isnt a franchise to be testing out methods.
I play bumper jumper, and i’m not sure if the ‘switch gernades’ button is any different, but to switch gernades you must use the d-pad. okay. well, what if you get a kill streak and you have a choice of deploying a weapon or upgrade? SERIOUSLY? was this tested out?
Ammo is sacred on this game. I’m constantly running out of DMR ammo after a few kills, and there are no ammo spawns on the field. Not everyone uses a DMR, so what if I’m the only one using it and I run out of ammo? I dont like the fact that halo 3 doesnt have too many br spawns in certain maps, but they still have them.
Picking a weapon to start off with is pretty neat. Putting level restrictions on starting weapons is unreal. I dont play COD much, but I think thats how they have it too. why do you guys do this?-you give the people who have more experience with the game stronger weapons. Whos idea was this? Weapons should be free to everyone. Give people a different reason to level up. its unfair and unbalanced.
Armor abilities are pretty cool, but invincibility? people abuse this like crazy. also, the fact that you get this ability everytime you respawn is pretty lame. its too strong of a power-up. it shouldnt be an armor ability. An ability you could get from a streak or pickup on the map seems a little more reasonable for an ability like that.
I was expecting halo 4 to be a leap forward in the halo franchise. From what I heard, they tried fixing up reach and added better graphics. I havent played reach, but people I’ve talked to werent too happy about it.
Like I said, the campaign was enjoyable, but I play halo for the multiplayer.
This has no flame, and its constructive. Please debate.
