You guys will never have to go back to endless grinding just to find a single exotic weapon ever again!

Destiny broke my Destiny addiction. Anyone who thinks Bungie would make new Haloes better than 343i clearly hasn’t played Destiny.

Not only did it break my Destiny addiction, playing Destiny after H5 came out finally proved to me what 60fps was really all about.

Like, I didn’t doubt there would be a difference, but I felt like it was going to be subtle and I personally wouldn’t really be able to tell. And when I started playing H5 it felt great and all, but I didn’t think, “Oh my, this 60fps is amazing”. But then within a week my friends had me hop on Destiny to help them finish King’s Fall and I was instantly like, “What is this sluggish mess? This is terrible.” and that’s when I realized how important the move to 60fps was.

It’s not dissimilar to how I’m mad at everything in my house that doesn’t respond to my voice since using the X1 Kinect.

About two weeks. I must confess I jumped on this weekend to see how the IB was, started playing and just thought what am I doing? The reality really hit home then. I had wasted a year of my life playing a game which had minus the pay begun to feel like a job, a job I had slowly started to resent. Constant work and no reward. I quickly fired up Halo again instead and the sadness soon subsided. Quite how I ever enjoyed Destinys crucible is now a mystery to me. This game however is the most fun I’ve had in multiplayer since Halo 3 and on a side note, I just feel better in myself! I can play again now because I want to and not because I need to.

So true lol

Right?! I thought I was the only one. I was getting so tired of the grind, and then one day I was wondering what I was doing on Destiny; I was spending so many hours everyday with very little to show for it (And the realization that everything that I did earn would just become useless in future dlc). So about a month before Halo 5 came out I stopped playing Destiny. Now I jump on to Halo 5 for some multiplayer fun when I’m in the mood for it, and have only touched Destiny once since then (And boy was that a horribly painful/boring experience. I am so glad I curbed my Destiny addiction.

Halo 5 broke my GTA V addiction but just another game I’m trying to collect stuff more than enjoy the game.

You’ve been playing Destiny since release? Wow… you must have a strong stomach.

Actually, they still might do that, considering Halo 5’s REQ system…

Only thing I miss about Destiny is Patrolling. Just roaming around, exploring, practicing my sniping on some hapless aliens… I’ve been campaiqning for a firefight warzone variant for that reason.

To be fair, it is mainly Activision that has caused Destiny to become what it is since they have the final call on everything related to it. If Bungie did carry on after Halo Reach they wouldn’t of gone with Activision and would most likely still be with Microsoft (if issues never happened of course). So god knows what Halo would of been like now under Bungies control, it could of turned into an absolute mess or one of the greatest FPS games ever made!

I hear you. While I really enjoy Destiny, after a year of playing it, I needed a break. And when I finally want to return to it, I think I’ll enjoy it more.

Originally, The House of Wolves, The Dark Below, and The Taken King were supposed to be in the base game not to mention destiny was supposed 2 have a player trade system.
