This Game Blows

Halo has always been my favorite franchise over Call Of Duty, Battlefield, etc, but Halo 5 literally sucks. It is the worst halo i have ever seen made.

The hit detection is god awful right now, the playlists are just now being completed, theres still exploits (glitch spots, unintentional lines of site) on maps that havent been patched yet, and the map design in this game is pathetic. The sizes of the maps are either too small or too large, way to many auto-aim weapons and no ways to counter them.

They changed random things that didnt need to be changed such as adding bullets to the AR, emblem unlocks (stupidest -Yoink- ive seen), armor customization, and more.

And for christs sake req packs are useless unless you grind warzone.
For somebody like me who rarely plays warzone at all, req packs are useless. IMO they shouldve added like a warzone only req pack or you were got warzone items from playing warzone. Ranking system makes no sense as well.

idk it just seems like there was no effort put into the game to make it all around enjoyable for everyone who plays. All the playlists have like 3-4 maps in them and the gameplay just gets so stale to me and my friends. I personally do not see Halo 5 taking a step in the right direction for the rest of its time as a main title, and that alone makes me upset w 343. They know what we would like to see and what we do and dont like about the game already but wont take any action.

At this point all I do is customs browser

Glad you agree!

not gonna lie i do like that feature

I disagree, while H5 has it’s flaws as every Halo game has had IMO, it’s game play is solid. H5 is a step in the right direction for the franchise especially compared to H4.

H4 was a step in the wrong direction, and halo 5 is a LEAP in the wrong direction. 343i has run the franchise into the ground lol

I only partially agree (*cough Spartan Charge…), but eh. If taking out the personal ordinance mechanic and loadouts and nonsense like Survivor and Promethean Vision from an ARENA setting and giving us a Custom Browser however contributes to being a “leap in the wrong direction” then I simply don’t know what to say. :stuck_out_tongue:

As bad as Spartan charge is the worse thing ever in Halo still goes to armor lock

Let’s dig a little deeper than just throwing out non-constructive opinions… the gameplay was a step in the right direction. We’re back to 1:1 starts… that’s huge. But the content offerings/development model and philosophy? Not so much… definitely moving the wrong direction.

And the crazy thing is, it never HAD to change!

Useless changes
Bad map designs
Bad weapons on said maps
Spartan Charge
Ground Pound
Thrusting
Auto-Stabilizing
30,000 Weapon Variants
REQ System is flawed
Hit Detection Is broken
Armor Customization Sucks
Emblem Unlocks

True, but that was Halo Reach (Bungie) and not Halo 4. So it was Bungie that took that initital wrong step that 343 mistakenly decided to build upon with the Perks/etc in 4. Thankfully they dialed that back, but I wouldn’t mind having Promethean Vision in Warzone as an armor mod… As gamebreaking as it was in an Arena setting, it was pretty neat to use.

Ditto with this. As one example, I’d like more things like Achilles where the only way of getting it is unlocking it through some hard work.
