This forum feels more toxic than both Reddit and Twitter reunited

This is absolutely crazy how much yall are whining, while I see REAL feedback topics, a very important portion are just waves of salt, pessimism and generally toxic comments. Hell how can I already read people wishing the game DIES?? This is absurd!

Agreed, it’s a little offputting. Im sure 343 doesnt want the perception that they’re censoring the community but we really need moderation here. This is a feedback forum for a beta game, and in the last day it’s just devolved into another reddit for people to vent into.

That’s because the game is bad.

Feedback is not toxicity, what you’re doing is far worse.

Careful, if you say anything that isn’t utter disgust you’ll be labeled a apologist, fanboy, or any number of other things. The internet has turned into a competition to see who can be the most angry.

I don’t wish the game would die… I wish 343 knew how to breathe life back to an already dying franchise.

Infinite is three weeks from launch. Anyone who thinks that what we’re playing now isn’t the launch build of the game is, quite simply, away with the fairies.

I say this about any game that gives us a “beta”. We’ve seen it far too much now, and people still defend it.

Passion for something brings out your real feelings. You need to view this as an invested playerbase getting metaphorically screwed. It’s messed up man.

Oh this is certainly final or near-final build, im under no illusion about that. But putting the label beta on it does give them wider license to treat these few weeks as data and feedback collection than calling it the full release would. Its just an optics thing.

Yeah the forum has felt really toxic the last few days. I get that there are issues with Infinite, but a lot of the conversation is hyperbolic and circular. It doesn’t feel like I can even talk about some of my problems with the game—like Xbox one s performance—without people getting way too heated. Hopefully things chill out soon

It’s always easier to tear down then it is to build up.

The toxicity comes from us being screwed over again and again by 343i, i am in no ways defending people wishing the game would die, i dont want this game to die, but in this state it will.
This is not a beta, this is an early launch of what we would have gotten on the 8th, and what we have been shown is a battlepass that is damn near impossible to level up in, lack luster maps, lack luster and missing game modes, and the entirety of the halo customization being locked behind paywalls and battlepasses. People are understandably pissed off, these are people who have grown up with halo, this game means a lot to a lot of people, and to see 343 making the same mistakes they did with halo 5 after promising not to, it makes us scared and angry.
This is a great game, with fun gameplay and a great sandbox, held back by cooperate greed and mismanagement, we want to see halo succeed, thats why we are letting our tru unfiltered opinions out

They literally only put the label on it as beta for game breaking bugs. They literally said that. It is in the announcement.

Its all the CoD and BF fanboys over here cuz they are bored with their other games lol.

Seriously. They will go away after a week - month. Once they realize no one cares.

Oh no, people are voicing their opinions. Please won’t someone censor them for the sake of OP’s mental health.

Yeah, I don’t think that is exactly (or even remotely) true. Sure, maybe there are a few trolls and some overreactions, but the forums have exploded the last few days, mostly with people that want this game to succeed. You’re right about one thing, players will go away if they find out no one cares, and I don’t think any halo fan wants that.

Exactly this, right now, the game is in a horrible state and much needs to be rectified. Don’t confuse toxic behavior with critical feedback.

Not the game, the battlepass

Wishing for a game to die on it’s early launch isn’t feedback.
