I’m a longtime and hardcore Halo fan since 2001. Been loyal to my favorite game series ever since. And for the first time since 2001, I am disappointed.
Aiming down the sights:
Okay. Aiming down the sights for almost all weapons involved in the game. This is a feature that has not been in any Halo game at all, and he only weapons that should be aimed down the sights are the ones with scopes and whichever weapons already had them up until this point. It destroys the feel of how Halo should be, and I feel it doesn’t capture how Halo should be played.
Customization:
Alright, you’ve done customization before in Halo 3, Reach, and Halo 4, and even the MCC. The customization screen alone was a turnoff, and the female spartans look like absolute twigs. I don’t believe women of any kind should be represented like that. I also don’t see emblem creation, or nameplates which I really like in the MCC.
’Sniper Rifle spawning in 10 seconds’:
Remove this multiplayer feature immediately. I don’t want people bum rushing power weapons in Halo all at once. You guys had it right in Halo 4 by adding an indicator where said weapon spawns, but adding the feature of telling players WHEN it spawns should be scrapped immediately in my opinion. I just don’t want people camping weapon spawns and players bum rushing weapon spawns in such a way, and I believe this doesn’t captivate the way Halo 5’s multiplayer should be like.
Customizing buttons:
I’m a long time bumper jumper, and since Halo 4 I feel like the preset controls don’t make me feel enthused about gameplay at all. I don’t enjoy pressing the A button just to sprint. I want to be able to press down the left thumbstick and crouch that way.
Hovering:
Absolutely dislike this feature. I don’t see any use in it, and it doesn’t help capture the feel of Halo’s gameplay.
Ground pound:
Its a cool feature to add, but I feel a Halo game doesn’t need this type of feature to include in gameplay.
Spartan chatter:
I don’t like the idea of our spartans shouting off things like “enemy fire incoming!” and everything else like that. We are playing multiplayer online, if theres something like that which needs to be said, someone can say it in the game to increase communication between human players.
My concerns:
I feel like Halo is becoming less like Halo, and more what people expect in a shooter. I hate to be this guy, but it’s feeling more and more like Call of Duty now, and Halo 4 was the perfect balance between being a Halo game and features games like Call of Duty had.
