How is it that I can go 19-5 in a game, almost a 4.0 k/d, and go down TWO levels in my CSR… This makes no sense. I’ll do awesome for 3 games in a row and go up 12 levels in one playlist then do awesome for 5 games in a row in another playlist and not go up at all… I don’t know how the math works for this system but its jacked up and I can’t stand it.
What
Certain playlist will be easy to rank up in.
These playlist are basically Ranked Social Playlist
Infinity Slayer
Big Team Infinity Slayer
Rumble Pit
Multi-Team
Team Action Sack
Flood
Team Snipers
Regicide
SWAT
These playlist are the Real Ranked playlist.
Castle Team DLC
Team Objective
Capture the Flag
Dominion
Team Throwdown
Team Doubles
Grifball
Now the social playlist uses your score for the game so when you get the most points out of everyone you rank up depending on the players rank you are fighting against and with.
Now the ranked playlist use team scoring which is more win/lose system these playlist will take you longer to rank up in as they are based on skill with a team
I think the higher you get the slower it is to rank up, hence the discrepancies in ranking up speed you’ve noticed. Moreover, a lot of the time the system is a game or two behind.
LOL flood is NOT easy to get a 50 in, there are only 3 50’s in the world in flood and I am one of them. the easy playlists to get a 50 in would be big team slayer, infinity slayer, and rumble pit. all based on scoring.

Its not easy because not a lot of people have high ranks so when you hit the 40s it slows down because you are playing lower level players. Which is the problem i face
Just because you fail to understand something does not make it ridiculous.
There are real problems with the CSR system, but you haven’t mentioned any of them.

Could be more since all Gamertags are not on Halotracker, you need to search for a Gamertag there in order to add it in to their data base and registering your Gamertag to get more stats.
It’s because you get punished for getting matched up against extremely low levels. What do I mean? If this system just worked where a level 45 gets matched up with other level 45’s in a social playlist, then getting the top score should ensure that you are going UP. But since it is all random and you can get matched up with pretty much any level CSR, if you get a bunch of level 1’s and 10’s, doesn’t matter if you scored 5,000 points and got 500 kills in a game, you’re still ranking down.
all people do is complain on this forum

What playlist was this?
Well fist off, some playlists are team based ranking and others individual, as many of you know.
The reason your CSR does not go up is because it sounds to me like even though you are winning, you are not facing good competiition, or people similar to your rank. Therefore, you will not be rewarded for winning, and if you would lose you would be punished. There are not enough players in Halo 4 for the system to work effectively IMO. And that leads to CSR 20’s in Throwdown playing CSR 4’s.
If there were more people playing matchmaking I think the system would work better. However, we are unable to know for sure until we see some numbers again.
Though, don’t let this message dishearten any of you, the CSR is still skill based, and is still semi-effective as of now.
It normaly takes a game or two for the results of a game to be reflected on your CSR.
Did you have a bad game the game before?

That game you went 19-5 in was a team slayer game in which your team Lost and you finished 6th overall. Before that you placed 1st, DNF, 6th, 5th, 11th, DNF, and 4th.
The other playlist you mention is CTF in which you placed DNF, 5th (lost), 3rd (won).
Im not sure how awesome you think you’re doing but in an individually ranked Team Slayer Playlist you’re ranking around the middle of the pack, and in CTF, you’ve lost the last two out of 3 games.
Granted on may 14th you played 5 games of slayer where you placed 2nd, 2nd, 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 4th, but that’s overshadowed when you started placing 4th and higher or DNF.
CSR is working.
