I’ve been playing Halo since the CE days and I always thought that this was a great community and that everyone always seemed to support the Halo franchise no matter what it was going through. But now, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a forum hate so much on one game. I honestly think you guys are being unjust to 343i. It was there first shot and I think they did a pretty damn good job. This game is about 100x better than Reach. Although it’s probably not as good as Halo 3 was, if you just give it some time maybe they will be able to fix the few minor issues it has. I just miss the old Halo community and am wondering where they went.

A lot of people never liked Reach and everybody hates Halo 4.

Pretty much this. If I got a nickle every time someone said Halo is dead, the old game was better, I’d have a lot of nickels. The most amusing part is how people hated reach and said it would never be good and now everyone is saying they love reach,

No. I was on B.net during the Halo 2 era and the haters were horrible. About as bad the guys here. TU came out and fix the bugs and all that was left was hipster haters.
I do support halo, this however is generic classed based shooter *. Im sorry but this does not feel like halo, if it didnt have the halo name behind it i think it would have been a massive flop for a game.
Reach was pretty bad but halo 4 took everything i hated about reach and made it an even worse of a problem they also added on to it with all the other gimmicks. Im sorry i tried to like halo 4, i just couldnt it is not the arena shooter that i played for years.

It’s not a theory, it’s a statement. You go into every thread and spew bile and hatred. You should calm down a bit.
First off, OP, you have your facts completely wrong. What you do have right is yes the Halo Community has always been a large ammount of avid Halo fans who love what Bungie did. The community was always a place to find friends, feedback, tactics, lore, etc. Now look at it…what has this community become?
343 Industries has made a game, introduced it to us, let us play it for two months and now has turned their backs on us. They don’t listen. They don’t do anything to help us. They just sit there and fix things that should have been working perfectly fine before the game even hit the shelves. The reason this “community” has a fragment of life is because 343 has created a “dog pound” to put us all into. I’m talking about “Halo Waypoint” this joke of a community forum populated by people who just want to be able to communicate with 343 and voice their opinions on certain aspects of the game. We as players are sitting here BEGGING 343 to listen to us whether it be custom game options, File Share, Theater, Playlists, MLG etc. but they are not doing anything. Yes they’re in the process of making a TU…which will fix a few issues but the problem is THEY’RE NOT LISTENING TO US!
Second, the Halo 2 community, which carried over into Halo 3, was by far the most active fun and entertaining community to be a part of on Bungie.net I don’t know if you realize this but there was no crying over the previous Halo being better. What you said there is a <mark>sick joke</mark>. You see people cry about the previous games being better when it is true. And that my friend can be said about Halo 4. This game took everything Halo stood for, turned it upside down, shook it around, and tried to put it back together.
No one wants to accept change people that don’t except change need to get off the forums and play a different game like FAR CRY 3

Lol. No TU is going to fix H4, just as it didn’t help Reach at all. The fiction might be Halo, but the game rules are not. And while there were critique of previous Halo games, the difference is that they ended up being playable. Reach (and until now) H4 are as far away from the original gameplay as you could get. Unless they made it into a “Mario Kart” game, which would still be better then H4. Besides I actually liked som aspects of the pre H2 TU

Maybe after 2 TUs. 343 is rushing the one coming out this month. They should take longer.
I always loved Reach. Reach and ODST are my favorite Halo games. Quality content.

Bringing Mario Kart into a discussion concerning Halo makes me realize why no one should ever, ever, take any consideration into a word you say, please it is past your bedtime, go to bed your drunk on koolaid.
