Yep, because 343 will look at all the ideas on the forums and implement them all. Gaming forums have always been full of suggestions from players, many have always been terrible, very few have made it into the games.
We have way too much little kids ruing around posting stupid ideas which will ruin Halo 4 if 343 ever use thoses ideas.
343 isn’t dumb enough to listen to the people on here.
Development decisions are decided by educated, practiced coordinators. I promise, you won’t see “tornado guns” or anything silly like that in the game. I have a feeling that they consult these forums for trending topics and then discuss if the ideas are feasible and see how they affect gameplay.
Isolated, silly ideas simply won’t be implemented. There will be mistakes, sure, there always are. Don’t think that this community will completely destroy the game, though. This community has proportionally the same “stupid” or “immature” population as ever.

I read the “tornado gun” thread, as well as a “throwing knife” thread some time ago. For the sake of the new trilogy I hope nothing outlandishly “un-halo” is implemented.
343 is too smart to take on all of the suggestions that the community puts out, they will, however, take the most supported ones on the site into consideration and if it’s within reason then they can implement it into games. It’s not like they could take every suggestion someone comes up with, anyone would drive themselves crazy trying to do that.
i agree listen to the older halo players, i have ideas for halo 4 but 343 would not listen. i just dont want to see all matchmaking playlists be turned into the TU settings. just go back to halo 3’s settings.

Just because they aren’t responding doesn’t mean they aren’t listening. Hell, people like BS Angel listen to this community for a living.
If anything I’d rather have 343 make the game how they’d want it to be played as Bungie had done for the initial trilogy, and then go off the feedback of the community from there to make adjustments. Trial and error never hurt, so long as 343 knows the parameters of what makes an error an error cough original armor lock cough
It would merit more time between Halo games like before. I honestly don’t see myself enjoying the release of a Halo game every year.
For the most part, since the game has already been in development for 3 years, I think many of the ideas for gameplay and what not are mostly set up for what they feel is right. Any big gameplay ideas that these forum have suggested, even good ones, will probably be looked over till the next Halo or possibly a later DLC/update. If there are things they could add without breaking what they’ve already built then they might include it, but that’s a pretty big might.
The people in this forum will not ruin Halo 4. The fans are just really excited and are just trying to imagine what will be in the game. I know that there is members of 343i reading over the topics and threads, but just because alot of people like a idea it does not mean they will put it in.
Remember they are the professionals, they know how to balance games.

I doubt 343 will take most of the ideas on here into consideration anyway. They’ve had quite a while to think what’ll feel right in Halo 4.
Sure, people will complain, but if it’s only because their idea didn’t get in, then it’s nothing to worry about.
I don’t see how things here are any worse than the Bungie forums, yeah they’ve gotten worse here. Before they handed over the keys to 343 this place was like some kind of utopia where stupid people were screened at the door and were denied access.
The community here, is the same community that was there. Halo will not suck any more or less because of us. If Bungie was working on 4 it’d probably get the same reactions that it’ll get when it’s released by 343.
Everyone will say it sucks, everyone will blame the community for ruining the game, everyone will complain that this feature is unbalanced and that feature shouldn’t have been cut. This is the internet, people are annoying no matter what forum you find yourself a part of.

Not to mention that the result would be absolutely terrible.
You people who are worried that the community will ruin Halo with their ideas, when it comes to suggestions, I don’t think 343i will look at every one and say “Oh this is a great idea” and stick it in the game just because some one suggested it. They’ll look at what we suggest, those suggestions that are along the lines of “AA’s SUCK” will be looked into, things like new weapons, vehicles, AIs, maps, and things like that, they’ll most likely read, and if they feel that a suggestion is worth a try, they’ll play around with the idea, and test it, then either cut it, or leave it. For new features, they’ll look at it and most likely hold off until the end, when they spend time on little extra things. But will they use every good idea suggested by the community with brains? No, a smart developer knows when to listen to the community, and when not to listen.
But is there still a chance the community to ruin Halo, yes, tho not with their suggestions, but because they game developers made a Halo game that they feel isn’t Halo because it has new things that changes game play too much, or because they feel 343i didn’t listen to their pleas for a Halo 2/3 copy.
Maybe they should have paintball guns and they can blind the other players and it covers their HUD and also it could have an attachment and it shoots a stream of water on the ground and if a player walks on it they would slip and they wouldnt be able to aim right and you could kill them!

I’m all for respecting people’s opinions, but some of the things people post here worry me sometimes…
And I doubt the community would ruin Halo, I don’t think 343i is run by little kids. If most of us are smart enough to know what’s ridiculous and what isn’t, I’m guessing they are too.

343i won’t take all ideas and put it in halo 4. they probably isn’t even going to use any of those ideas at all.
The Halo series has always ran on the community. Now the community is ruining the franchise and scaring off other players. Mostly due to try-hards and MLG wannabes drowning out every other comment.
