This community sucks...

Uh. We played very different Halo 3’s then.

It’s not just the Reach community, it’s the gimme pig mentality of society as a whole.

Derankers. Enough said. Ruined my enjoyment of Halo 3 on this account and on my old one.

It was a fun game (at least it had ranked) but you are blinded by nostalgia. The problems in Reach are common to most, if not all online games. Halo 3 included.

I agree that I’m really sick of that because that happens to me A LOT too. But I was playing Halo 3 yesterday and someone betrayed me to get into the Gnause Hog I was in (dont think I spelled gnause right but whatever.) Hopefully they’ll fix the betrayel system for Halo 4. I don’t mind if someone accidentally betrays me, but if it were on purpose it really bugs me and I want to boot them. One time I was playing Reach and some guy betrayed me for my gun twice before I even got the option.

Gauss*

1/100 games i would fine a game that doesn’t have betrayals

QFT

Halo 3 = good times.
Halo: Reach = More good times, just with alot more of the shenanigans.

I know this to be true, I eat at the Shenanigans Restaurant frequently. Bulltrue and I still die ?! WTF I need to see the manager right now, this steaktacular is not how I ordered it, lol.

This reminds me of the glitch where you die via bulltrue in Living Dead and it counts as a betrayal against the zombies. =.= So…many…boots…

Or when you get a Bulltrue while the Sworder is lunging at someone else. Got a few of those last night in Living Dead.

The Halo community has become rather selfish over the years…

> The Halo community has become rather selfish over the years…

^This and the fact that todays gamers really don’t follow the rules that WE the original gaming generation obided by. Todays generation is rather immature and very selfish so the idea of teamwork, and communication was thrown out the window. Since when did a team game become every man for himself?

It’s not that the community sucks, it just kind of lost its way.

Lol poor kid. Give him a Dang tank that doesn’t blow up!

Yes there were the odd betrayers but it wasn’t as bad as Reach. People do it more frequently.

Well you know, people go though changes… CERTAIN PEOPLE.

An Angel’s Replacement…
@FsxChurch7

It kind of has to do with changes in society and the way children are brought up, in my opinion.

I agree with both Frykill and Tomo. Most of today’s generation are immature and selfish. And it’s not just a problem in Reach, I tend to play hardcore on BF3 and I have someone kill me for a Jet or the Helicopter almost every other match.

I have a friend who plays BF3, and he constantly gets booted from any server he tries to join because he actually knows how to play the game with skill, kids these days, i tell ya.

I know that feel quite well, bro. :frowning:

what do you guys expect? the more stuff you have the more spoiled you get, thats why with every generation people get worse and worse.

I actually had a conversation with someone in which they said that ALL dlc should be free, compare this to say 10 years ago when there wasn’t dlc in the first place and you can see how stupid this sounds.

The thing is, I’m 32. I grew up with strict responsibility and I didn’t exactly come from a family with money. We had to work our -Yoinks!- off for everything. My mom was always home, parental supervision was pretty much manditory, and when I screwed up, my dad would beat me silly. The point I’m trying to make is that todays generation has no supervision, no responsibilty, no respect for hard work, and most importantly, no drive. I do understand though, nowadays, both parents work, so that explains the lack of supervision. It is very obvious that there is something seriously wrong with parenting now. There has to be a balance. I’m in the trades and do a lot of work with schools in my town teaching kids skills and responsibility. It’s amazing how many kids will say that they want to be a Major League Gamer when asked. What happened to fireman, carpenter, astronaut, president, teacher, and doctor? I guess I’m just getting too old.
