I keep asking myself why are people voting for DEFAULT High Noon over Anniv. Headlong, it was the most fun gametype i’ve ever experienced on Reach.
Get some friends together, make a party, override any decision, have fun
The general voting population for Reach is incredibly predictable and boring. Everyone wants Countdown or Asylum. In Anniversary, I barely get to play anything except Hang 'Em High and OCCASIONALLY Battle Creek.
I try to play with friends, but when I can’t…I too have this issue. Makes me wish that we had the Veto system back, just for variety’s sake.

This sadly is the only way to get what you play in Reach.

really? I would say 70% percent of my games are battle creek and damnation

The only problem with this - everyone is on COD or Skyrim… Sadly good games are being dwarfed by these marketing monsters!
BF3, Halo Anniversary… both being dwarfed by COD and Skyrim.

I haven’t had this issue at all.
Get some people from here to join you.
That is what I do nearly everyday.

I’ve yet to play a good game type in damnation on Reach, CTF was never a good game type for that map in Halo PC games, the one good game type I’ve found to be good for damnation was KotH, or odd ball, haven’t tried headhunter. Snipers on Hang’em’high is fun, but too easy to kill and be killed. Battle Creek is fun with 3 to 4 players on a team, or 8 player FFA, as long as there’s shields, if you mix no shields with shotguns, even with 8 people it’s more of a point and fire duck hunt, 2 or 4 rounds fired, and you’ll kill at lest 1 person.
Also, people love SMALL maps because they are:
A: Crappy at long range shooting, like snipes and DMR wielders.
B: COD fanboy creeps who run around with a pistol fire wildly, and melee you if you get too close.
C: Love using close to mid range weapons and think it’s unfair that people can kill them before they can fire off a few shots.
D: love using grenades and rockets in small areas and killing a few people at once.
E: Hate driving, hate having to hunt for people.
Today’s player base in Halo is filled with spoiled kids who have very little skill, and cry if they play on a large map, because every one is killing them.
It’s like… other people … have different opinions? !

Skyrim is a great game, though…
Its the cross mapping try hards that ruin this game for me. Every single time I seen Headlong objective get voted out for some high noon slayer I wanted to puke. And the cheevo voters make me rage too…

i almost never get damnation, and i always vote for it
I think we all hate it when we dont get what we want, but hey what you gonna do? VETO !!!

Marketing monsters?! Quit crying and get over the fact that people like different games than you. I for one am preferring BF3, Skyrim, and MW3 over CEA, but that’s my opinion it’s not a fact that CEA is bad because I don’t like it.
To be more on-topic this is the main reason I like the veto system more than the voting system.
Yeah veto was WAY better.

THIS. GUY. IS. ONTO. SOMETHING!
Not only that, but some people suck as the moment you join a custom game they kick you out, even if theres like 14 other people in the game and they arent the party with the leader they single you out and kick you out…when i host a game i never kick people out unless they are being A-holes, i dont understand the logic of people…MORE people means MORE fun…typically
I personally love all the maps, I still dislike playing with a team that does not use there mics. Halo is a game of team work and accuracy.
Its one of those games that if you dont have a team your going to loose if the other team are good and in a party.

At least the veto system didn’t have us playing on the same maps every single game.
